  1. I think they got that bridge from Ikea.Seriously who looked at the plans and said "Yes that'll be fine."??? Who designs a bridge in a busy shipping lane that is hanging by a thread from day one and one mishap away from total collapse at any time?
How much money did they save compared to how much this will cost to fix?
If this had happened in rush hour….
Someone at City Hall needs prison time for this.

  2. It's so crazy to see how easily a whole bridge can just disappear like that. Makes me wonder if we need to go back to square one when it comes to building bridges and find a better support system so the whole bridge would'nt give out like that. Just a part.

  3. 3:53 Of course this bridge (a superstructure) is going to be vulnerable if you remove one of the primary load-bearing columns (solid pillars). All bridge pillars are very important but this specific one (that was crashed into) undergoes higher stress which is why it is more reinforced than most of the pillars – this specific pillar failing catastrophically will make the bridge exponentially vulnerable.

  4. Believe there’s only cables holding up this type of bridge so they are prone to failure if even one support gets knocked out if anyone the bridge too Oakland that wind sheer took out believe it was call d the Oakland Bridge I’ll keep you posted
