Rescue dogs stuck in home during California wildfires saved by CBS News crew

It was a dramatic rescue. CBS News’ Jonathan Vigliotti was contacted by a stranger who told him his three rescue dogs were stuck inside his Pacific Palisades house – alone – as the Palisades Fire closed in. Jonathan and his producer, who were reporting nearby, did not hesitate to help – risking their lives to save all three dogs.

  1. Hell yes!!!!!! No animal deserves to die that way!!! ❤❤❤ thank you sooooo much. This hits home to me so much. We lost our home in a fire Aug 31st and only had minutes to get our animals out. Needless to say, I failed. We lost many 😢I tried sooo hard to the point I was going to tackle the sheriff standing between me and my front door. He was stronger.

  2. Thank you 🙏 for saving these.dogs. How could people just leave.your pets? They are family. It makes me mad that you could have pets and leave them behind? They should not have pets at all.

  3. I guarandamntee all the naysayers on here that these 3 dogs couldn't care less what the men's motives were. I see them as heroes who saved 3 lives, as I'm sure the owner and dogs do, too.

  4. So wonderful they somehow managed to contact Jonathan and that he and Christian just jumped into action. Gorgeous rescue dogs being rescued again by the best of humanity. The dogsitter must have been so distressed also.

  5. The thought of fearful animals all alone is so sad. Great job! to you gentlemen for rescuing them. I think the majority of people would help out. The news too often has to focus on the bad to warn us or protect us. But I think the world holds more descent, loving people than not.

  6. Hello there, I was wondering, if I can share with you– the most important thing ever in life. God the Father sent His holy Son Jesus to earth, to be born of a virgin. He grew up and died on the cross- for our sins. Then He was put into a tomb for 3 days, after that Abba Father raised Jesus to life.He appeared to people, and went back to heaven. We all must sincerely receive Jesus into our life, to be God's child. John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." Will you today genuinely by faith receive Jesus into your life for salvation?
