  1. This is the reason animals with long lives should not be taken as pets because, even with the best humans, there is the probability they will outlive their humans. Hence, it is my prayer that my mom and I will outlive our dogs and cats given that some of them came to us when we were no longer that young.

  2. A cage that was too small unfortunately left this beautiful bird crippled. Some owners do not realize the harm they can inflict on their pet due to unsuitable conditions.

  3. Heart warming armin in that you knew he had issues but still adopted him. He must have seen something in that he came without a fuss. Parrots do live a long life and need constant activity which is obvious when he plucks his feathers. Thank you for taking such good care of him.

  4. When my parents got their last babies, before anything, they asked me if I would care for them, should anything happen to them. They both turn 70 this year and I dread the day that anything does happen to them, but I never hesitated in saying yes. I gave them much of their care, the last two years of their boy’s life and we lost him to liver failure three years back. They still have their girl, but she is now 19 and I know her days are limited, so we live each day like it is her last. When we made this decision, it was written into their will, so that there would be not doubt what they wanted and they even set up a trust fund with their bank which was (and I quote!) “to keep their babies in the manner to which they have become accustomed; spoilt rotten!’ I hope I have managed to do just that. Their dogs (who am I kidding; they are just as much mine,) have changed my life for the better! I am in the pet care industry and I make it a point to care for other people’s dogs just as I care for my own, when they entrust them into my care.
