In part 1 of this Derail Valley escapade I broke the train, although it obviously wasn’t my fault. This time around I’m going to replace the locomotive and head back on mission with no drama.

good fun, you only blew the breaker that time. got to watch that temp dial. overheats easily when you are moving slowly
Somehow I don't thunk Colonel Failure is going to get any bonus money for finishing early.
Why I am I looking forward to the colonel enjoying the gearbox on the new mechanical loco. Like a 101 but a lot more complicated and tempremtal.
Typicule .. just as we woz between The Stripper and Tequila .. 1950's and 60's instrumental hits, you dirty-minded houndawgs .. and the immersion button bings .. It's the Kernal!
Yey!
;o)
25:48 "what's the squeaky squeaky noise?" As he sits in reverse gear and allows the train to burn it out going forward downhill. 🤣 How are you so bad? You've played thousands of hours of train games.
In the Lorax the Job-Giver was called The Onceler.
24:47 Wow. That is some high skill stopping.
26:07 is that the temperature gauge rising so quickly in the lower left corner?
human error < circuit breaker!
Bet it's the Toymaster Skynett that sends "A" train's about to deliver, re-organise: blocking other routes around the map.
Fantastic episode.
I miss the short CF facecam outro after each video.
Im currently rewatching the resources and workers republic de soviet series, and my favorite part are the outro's.
This feels like a good series to have them again.
They made the world dead because they knew you'd be in it, and you're too much of a menace to be allowed around the living.
Hydraulic fluid used by most things is pretty much vegetable oil nowadays and won't ignite by your simple lighter. Still has buncha additives that aren't all that good for nature, but won't explode from little flame!
I'm telling you right now that job giver is NOT REAL!
I really want to see how fast this bad boy can drive!!
oh man I laughed so hard when he blew up the traction motors 😂😂😂
fun fact, the old temp model for the DE2 doesn't work like it used, to, it doesn't matter wich way the engine is facing. the temperture guage is for the electric motors for the wheels, and only heats up under operation and cools down with the less power going in, wich the amperage being feed in also going down as the speed increases and the temp will drop on it's own.
I must get back derail valley myself after the changes, but the issue at the end was giving it too much power to soon under load, it sent a ton of voltage through your traction motors and popped the breaker, its a new mini game they added called how hard can i push this to get up to speed as quickly as possible before it blows up in my face.
Love it, the only downside is that YT keeps recommending other fools playing Derail, like I'd be interested. There's only one C.F!
You actually persuaded me to try this – Train Sim bores the pants off me, but this is relaxing in a Eurotruck sort of way. I did find for driving the little diesel that if you open the door next to the handbrake & put yourself in the doorway, and then press Alt to go into mouse mode that you can see all the controls, use all the controls without bobbing your view around and where you're going, which is always a bonus… you can ignore the MU license thing & connect the brakes anyway, it's just an extremely annoying mouseover message.
Also I put a giant tran down a canyon in hour two, also a bonus.
My new favorite tuber
Locomotive throttle direction depends on the manufacturer. There is no standard direction even though you'd think there would be. This has lead to some interesting situations when operating real trains in my experience.
The Colonel's a bit loco (motive) when it comes to trains
I am very immersed!!! I think the Job Giver is actually Landru.
This job realy put the failure in Colonel Failure and I enjoyed every chaotic minute of it
This series is going to go gangbusters. Looking forward to next month’s reduced. Two great series running simultaneously, too. You’ve outdone yourself, Colonel.
Your twizzler has an repair function
You may find it later in the video, but incase you didn't, pressing F3 gives you a fly-by/free roam cam so yes a bit of 'Colonel Cam' might be possible.
Now remember kids.
R is for RACE..
your train is going to cool down
This run has a lot of spicy corners for Colonel to put the derail in Derail Valley.
Loving this!
Argh, flipping cicada makes the night so annoying. Hope devs squish that bug quickly.
The only player who understands that the game is 'Derail' Valley.
More sparks flying I see. The Colonel should be a nominee for best train driver… in the world.
Colonel i love this video loved it keep it coming buddy love it heaps
Nearly out of the train yard after only 2 episodes – it's good to see the old skills haven't left you
🤦♂️
Regarding the immersion. Refusing to teleport around map had me fully immersed, while lifting a 38 ton loco with a laser pointer had the opposite effect. 😋
"Look at at." Currently showing black screen lol
FYI… if you throw the map at the window on the left side of the console , it will drop down into a little notch that will stop it moving about on side and it would also be in your line of vision which
enables to to not miss the speed and inclination signs lol
you got train brake and individual brake. The individual one is only on the locomotiv, the train on the whole train (locomotiv and cars). Operating both brakes at the same time is usually not necessary. If you have a train, use the train brake. If your only locomotiv use the individual brake. If the individual brake is applied the train brake does nothing for the locomotiv, since it already has brakes applied. So you are making it more complicated than what it is.
