These things are pointlessly annoying to fire, far to many do near nothing weapons, needs to be able to loadout more homogeneously, taking 3-4 of the same weapon would really streamline this thing and make it less unfun
I just finished my 2nd one, lots of little bits and bobs. Playing a mechanized space marine unit which will get the Atraeus super heavy. It's fun to play.
Newbie here. Can you magnetize a repulser executioner to be just a regular one if say on another game you wanted more transport than damage? Is there any major model difference between the two besides the tank turret on the top? Great vid and I'm really interested in getting some armor into my space marines list. I've got lots of infantry, characters and elites now but am really lacking in the heavy fire department besides my redemptor and ballistus dreads. Keep up the great work!
Who painted that f'king awesome Raptors tank? Does he have a site or something? That is an amazing shade of green.
I've just a lot of fun with my Rep. Exec. in a few games against Custodes and CSM. It trundles up, does some good shooting and then disgorges my assault intersessors and captain into the fray to bank an objective or keep melee troops busy.
Executionner turret is really easy to magnetize.
You don't have to magnetize the guns only the whole turret and the "plate" underneath it so you can simply open it change the guns, and close it
Things you might want to transport in Repulsor Executioner.
– 1×5 Hellblasters + Primaris Apothecary for absolute volley of shots and great synergy
– Techmarine for Lone Operative and repairs
Executioner with 5 Hellblasters is a solid mid-board package.
Great unit
It's a blocky ground tank pretending to be a skimmer?
I use the executioner in my White Scar army. It's really fun.
Just a tip: you can use "Squad tacticts" strat to come closer to your repulsor and then use "Emergency combat embarkation"
I only own this because it was included in one of those battle boxes. It took me years to finally paint up in 9th, because it had a few use-cases. Right now it melts like butter in a volcano. It's missing something on the defensive front, anything from less damage taken, an invul save or an FNP, ON TOP of the 2+ it deserves.
Besides that, it's the same disappointing model it's always been, the grav-theme is awkward, there are too many guns on it, it's a little too small to really convey just how massive it's supposed to be, it has an absolutely nightmarish amount of edges that need highlighting and finally when it's not an all-in-one package points wise, you feel like you're getting something underpowered for a chunk of points or that you're sunk-cost-fallacy'ing even more points into it for what should just be the performance norm.
Gladiators are just better. Easily dedicated for what you want them to be or just cheap, reliable and long range anti-armour, somewhat protected against nerfs due to having that actual meaningful choice of guns.
Land Raiders were supposed to be the Nr. 1 pick of heavy tanks for marines this edition and then they just overpriced them to death. I hate 10th.
10th edition is just way for gw to sell all the space marine tank kits that never sold in the previous edditions
Ok so at the expense of sounding like a dummy, why isn’t the number of attacks the repulsors have up at the top? Does each individual weapon system get to fire, and that’s why the number of attacks is listed with the weapon profile?
That tank has a horrible every weapon design,
Big twin linked guns are mounted to hull along with turret, so one of its lasers can aim normally, the other has to have whole tank point at something.
This makes the not overly realistic tonka truck tanks of predator, lemund russ and land raider look coherent and realistic by comparison.
I think it doesn't look too bad, however it's ability is pretty garbage. It'd prob be better if it could at least re-roll wounds, or get a +1 to wound, against monsters/vehicles. Or heck, re-roll its damage. A +1 to hit against units UNDER half-strength, is pretty lame when you already have the heavy keyword for its las-weapon, and possibly a techmarine smothering oil on it every turn so it can shoot better for daddy. The +1 hit just feels redundant at this point.
As a necron & dark angel player, I lost faith in repulsors when my LHDs just shot my buds and it evaporated………18 damage, no save ……
although it's more expensive, I prefer a landraider
Always a blessing when I order a unit and you make a video talking about them in the next couple days ^^ I'm super excited to run my Sternguards in one of these with a Bolter Discipline Librarian in there; just hoping they release the multipart box for them soon! I might even have to throw a Techmarine in there as well. Love these videos, brother! Thank you for all you do – you're the best.
Personally I just want a bare bones dedicated transport for Primaris like the Rhino. The Repulsor is only about 75 points more than a Land Raider and now that Primaris can take them, I'm not sure it's that great. Seems pretty expensive points wise. The impulsor is good, but only transports 6 guys. I think there needs to be a middle of the road option. Personally I'd like an upscaled rhino.
Just as I was playing about with them in my lists on the app. I'll definitely be adding 9ne to my army soon. ☺️
I've been trying to decide whether my BT could benefit from the Repulsor or Repulsor Executioner, I normally play incursion. I have seen some success with an impulsor bringing it up the field with Sword Brethren. Any opinions?
They have a 26 dollar us markup on that compared to the UK
Why must the repulser fire all its guns at the same target?
"Eldar have hovertanks and I want one too!"
As a black Templars player: 225 points for a 3+ save is kinda meh
I take a Land Raider to deliver my sword brethren
This is perfect. I play Black Templars and all I have right now vehicle wise is an Impulsor so I've been trying to figure out which would be better to get Repulsor vs Executioner
Dark angels player here: you mentioned we can give the tank lethal hits or ignores cover, but we can also do something else: the same Fire Discipline stratagem that grants ignores cover also grants assault. Assault doesn't add to the damage, but it does add a lot of utility. My opening move has been to advance my tank into no mans land to hopefully capture an objective and/or get behind some good cover while also getting the angle on some better targets than what my enemy intended to provide me.
My favorite strat for using the repulsor is to have a 10 man infernus squad with Vulkan He’stan and a Primaris Apothecary attached hop inside and ride up the board to the objective that He’stan marks at the beginning of the game. Once the get there the can disembark and sit on the objective and use He’stans flamer mark to kill anything trying to move up with the Apothecary to resurrect any dead. If something ends up getting close enough and charging them they can all just dive back in the repulsor
Didn’t know how strong it was imma get one or two as soon as possible
Space Marines do not have a lot of vehicle units, but this seems very promising!
I really wish this thing had a 2+ Save, to really fill that Land Raider role.
Crazy to hear that this thing is strong now. I was getting table in V9 with my 2 repulsors, but I kept playing them bcs they look amazing, and like chunky tanks alot. Now I'm not even playing anymore, sold all my marines, and thos beaches are rekking. Jeez
Excutioner should just be down to 3 guns laser , gatling , ALL the arrays. Main reason i don t like using excutioner is it s take so long to shoot all of its slightly different small arms.
Wish it carried 14, not being able to take a full gravis squad WITH a character is pretty hobbling and very annoying
Too Many?
Not Enough guns
Poor russes underperforming comprared to this
So many guns on these things yo resolve, had a recent game as Necrons vs Ultramarines with a Repulsor Executioner and 2 Redemptors targeting a unit of Necron Warriors with Cryptothralls and a 5+++ from a Technomancer. With Oath of Moment and all the defensive rolls for warriors along with multiple reanimation protocol activations it felt like the first two ultramines shooting phases took about 3 hours to complete😂. If my doomsday ark hadnt got a clean shot into the executioner then we'd probably still be playing.
I hate playing into these, they feel severely undercosted when compared to my riptides at the same cost.
The Executioner is an incredible beast. However it shouldn't be used as a transport. I use the transport ability to have a key unit survive the first turn of shooting then disembark. If you move it up as you would a transport, it just gets focused down very quickly. It's 3+ is disappointing, especially when guard or admech tanks have a 2+ and invuln for 2/3 the price.
So if I already had a Lancer am I better with a Repulsor for functionality of delivering a large unit of Sternguard down the field, or an Executioner for the big vehicle killing capacity plus some small unit delivery
I use squad tactics to help protect the unit that got out of my repulsor and shot. That way the squad doesn’t have to endure a shooting round and hope to “get charged”. If the enemy moves within 9 inches, pop the stratagem and have them get back in.
I love throwing sternguard in this thing and safely run them up the field to decimate their target
I just finished painting my Repulsor Executioner. Can't wait to use it in game.
So do I start buying these ?
Could you compare the Repulsor to a Leman Russ Tank?
I like the repulsors ability. Nice with heavy infantry. But I prefer a 100pts impulsor with gunplatform for sternguard or hellblasters. You can just shoot as a gun platform and get a 5+ invul save with the shield.
