  1. Derek Kolb needs to read the US Constitution. Their Policy is for the Employees, not Journalists. Can he read? Why does the idiot LIAR to dispatch Donna think you need permission? I hope she gets fired for being a LIAR. I bet Donna knows who the criminal is because the guy most likely has a Library Card.

  2. There must be a national memo sent immediately to every city and podunk backwater governmental entity. " FYI it turns out that thing called the Constitution gives " Everybody " the natural born right to do what they're doing " so leave them alone keep calm and get back to work πŸ€”πŸ™„πŸ˜¬πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

  3. PUBLIC LIBRARIES and video recording policies

== Does your library have a POLICY that prevents video recording in publicly accessible areas under the guise of protecting patron and staff privacy or a person's right not to be recorded? … You have the 1st AMENDMENT CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT freedom of press to photograph/ videotaping on PUBLIC property…

== POLICY is NOT law! Libraries are open to the public and there is no expectation of privacy in publicly accessible areas. If I can see it with my eyes, I can record or take pictures. Trespassing someone under threat of arrest who is NOT committing a disturbance or a crime from a tax payer funded building can leave your city, organization, staff, and law enforcement open to legal action.
== City ordinance, Policy, rules and regulations, STATE and LOWER LAWS CAN'T overrule/ override the CONTITUTION and SUPREME/ FEDERAL COURT laws and cases.

== Independent journalism is an established FIRST AMENDMENT RICHT under the Constitution of the United States of America.

  4. Seems like the only time they show initiative is when they're trying to get out of doing things they'd rather not do. Yeah, try that in the private sector. You remember the private sector…the one where every penny they have comes from.

  5. Can I Help You, said the Police Officer…
Yes, Officer you can. We are peacefully visiting our tax funded public building. We are doing nothing nefarious or illegal. We are in the open, not sneaking around. We mean no harm to anyone. Its it not our intent to upset anyone, but someone’s feelings are not as important as the principles that guarantee we can exercise our civil rights, again, peacefully. Anyone can run and hide if they don’t want to be seen in public.
    1) Honor and uphold your oath you swore to the Constitution.
    2) Not violate my rights.
    3) Pretend that transparency does not bother you.
    4) Allow us to document peacefully exercise our rights while I am conducting my lawful business and interaction with public servants that also swore to support the constitution when I submit my FOIA/Open Records Request
    5) Allow us to gather content for a story on the behavior and performance of the public servants that we pay without taxes
    6) I would also like to add that peace officers are supposed to de-escalate situation, not add to the undeserved drama. Peace officers are responsible for being neutral arbiters, and obligated to educate people what is lawful and unlawful.
    7) If all those big words are too much for you, then this: a) Don’t beat, tase or cuff me for being different. I am just using my camera that everyone else has b) Stand by and watch so no one else beats me up. c) Help the workers here understand its okay, I am only here for a few minutes. I am not setting up a bed or hot plate or moving in permanently. d) Support what I am doing, let me finish and I will leave.

  6. CAN YOU PLEASE HAVE 10 TO 20 AUDITORS INDIVIDUALLY, AT DIFFERENT TIMES OF THE DAY, COME BACK TO SEE AND FILM THEIR REACTION?
I WONDER HOW THEY WOULD ADDRESS THAT MANY PEOPLE AT DIFFERENT TIMES? πŸ€”

  7. I'd like to visit the Thomas County Public Library and ask Donna if they have any books on the history of garbage. As for the problems you are having with your open records requests, it certainly seems like you've uncovered a festering nest of corruption in Thomas County. If anyone can cut through the obstructions, it's you!

  8. Just a reminder that NOT One Officer has ever lost their qualified immunity from you and your fellow losers who try so hard to get into places that you don’t belong and haven’t you learned anything from your time in jail ??!
