Reported sinking of a Chinese nuclear submarine a ‘damaging reverse’ for Beijing

Strategic Analysis Australia Director Michael Shoebridge says the reported sinking of a Chinese nuclear submarine is a “damaging reverse” for Beijing.

“But they will recover that and that submarine will probably be operating in two or three years,” he told Sky News Australia.

“There’s a lot of work that’ll have to be done to prepare it.”

  1. What a joke! Nuclear subs can't possibly sink near in Wuhan. Wuhan is hundreds of miles away from the ocean. There is no way a nuclear sub can travel in the river across Wuhan. It is a busy and shallow river.

  2. West propaganda are so desperate to release fake news to try to calm down the ICBM launched from 12k km and landed in Hawaii zone. This submarine sink new was From “unknown” US official. If it’s true, the satellite should have a photo show the sub was docked at there. 😂😂😂

  3. Every time a story comes out you needs to check for 3 main factors

    1. The Source

    2. Timing

    3. Motive This story came from US Intelligence based on so called satellite footage of an incident that might have happened months ago? Timing Why Now? China just tested an ICBM Motive: Well, there is 1.6 billion USD passed by congress to fund propagandas campaign against China I am not saying this did not happen but those tests normally get you the right results 2 years ago there was a story of a Chinese submarine that sank it turned out it was false and the source again was US Intelligence. Just look at the timing of the so-called Spy balloon and Blinken’s visit.

The propaganda trick is to play on their audiences’ natural emotions. The emotions take over instead of doing the 3-layer test I described above

This is the joke of the day.
When Russia doomsday submarine (Belgorod) when missing from it dock side the west media said it went missing.
Now for China they said it sank..
The US think their spies has to reach everywhere in right time.
    Total joke😂😂😂😂

  6. Well I wouldn't worry they seem to always leave the hatches open and sink their own boats how how can a country that really hasn't fought a war and what over several hundred years going to do against a competent military that's been in every war in the last hundred years😂😂😂😂

  7. The Aussie contribution to maintaining open shipping lanes in the South China Sea (a/k/a the West Philippines Sea) will be invaluable. Welcome aboard, Mates! And is anyone surprised the Chinee have sunk a nuclear reactor at the dock? Have you bought anything made in China lately. It's ALWAYS junk that fails at the first opportunity. Why would their military hardware be any different? Personally, I believe they're in for a big surprise when they finally pick a fight with America over Taiwan.

  9. When I saw the news about the sinking of a nuclear submarine in Wuhan, I was confused. Wuhan is a city in central China, on the Yangtze River and at least 1,500 kilometers away from the nearest coastline. Its location is similar to Chicago in the United States. I don’t think the Chinese will put their nuclear submarine assembly plant in Wuhan, just like the United States won’t build Seawolf-class nuclear submarines or Ohio-class nuclear submarines in Chicago. In fact, China's warship construction bases are mainly in Dalian, Shanghai and Guangzhou. They are all large cities with strong industries and close to the sea. Those who fabricated or believed this news probably lacked the most basic logic and geographical common sense. You are discussing something that does not exist in a serious way.

  10. BULLSHIT!!! US Officials Made-up the story on China's Newest Nuclear Submarine Sank at Wuchang Shipyard in Wuhan of China. 1st. Wuchang Shipyard deepest water is no more than 27 meter deep, Wuchang can never build large nuclear power Submarine, the China's Newest Zhou-class Nuclear Submarine is about 7,000 tones, US said the nuclear Submarine is 041 model, but China never has 041 Submarine, Nato corrected the USA that China's Type 039A/B/C nuclear power submarine: Length: 66 meter, Beam: 8 meter:, Draft: 8.2 meter, Surface displacement: 1,850 tons, Submerged displacement: 2,300 tons. So submarine is much smaller than the Zhou-class Nuclear Submarine. No wonder US house passed the bill and spend $ 1.6 Billion to deliver anti-China propaganda, what a bunch of American IDIOTS, and other countries to criticize China. China Xi Xinping and CCP did not even know that the China's Nuclear-powered Submarine Sank under the Shipyard. Why only US knows it. As US Satellite in March 2024, saw the China's New Submarine at the shipyard in Wuhan, then US took another Satellite image in June, did not see the Submarine, except saw a few people were cleaning up, US officials expected the submarine was already sank in sometimes in May. if the Submarine is so heavy, why only few boats there at the Shipyard. the was no way no country can move the submarine out of water in one month time, the US Satellite should capture the images. Now the whole world is trying to make the big fuzz about Submarine Sinks, because Western Media do not want Media to report that China has successfully launched new ICBM the new Long range missile across the Pacific Ocean near USA, and hit the target with distance 12,000-15,000 km. China told the USA, Japan, South Korea, Philippines that China will test the new ICBM missile but China did not say what time. So None of these countries and Taiwan detected the missile launched and landed. That means China can use this China's New nuclear-power Submarine to strike USA anywhere in the water, with Mach 30 speed to hit target in just 25 minutes. This will give a signal to USA, don't use Taiwan to threat China, if China invade Taiwan. China can launch these new missiles to hit any country anywhere in the World. China Update Tony, don't Embarrass yourself to report the negative news on China, from the US false news.

  11. In 1968 the USA submarine, Scorpion sunk. In 1963 the US submarine , Thresher, sank during training. Submarine Accidents do happened. They are all hushed up with the media cooperation. If you bother to dig up cases it will fill a page. Just because it is a Chinese submarine the western media politicized it. If the Chinese military is so bad why US and its allies are always trying to contain it?

  12. So, ….how many nuclear submarines has the US and Russia 'lost-at-sea'(?) What has it done to their nuclear capability, or US nuclear deterrence(….?) The AUKUS alliance is the US 'backup' plan for WHEN the US loses its nuclear submarine base at Chagos …that 'stolen' British colonial island that has been recognized by every international tribunal, and also why China is damn well keeping its South China Sea atolls/islets(.)
