  1. About the only issue I can see with ROC Mining at night anywhere, is that the brightness of both lasers can give away what you are doing, and where you are to any passing ship. And there will be passing ships, maybe on box deliveries, or a shipwreck investigation, or an item recovery from a derelict outpost, or a bunker mission.

  2. If it helps, it's far easier to just drive the ROC on to the Cutty and reverse off. Then you can easily walk between the ROC and the pilot seat, and close / open the ramp from there. As a bonus you can do a quick external visual to ensure your ramp is touching the ground before leaving your seat so you can make any adjustments 🙂

And because you've gone in nose first it's easier to park nearer the front wall of the cargo bay so you can get to the back of the ROC to empty it.

I've also heard you can crawl under the ROC if you're in a tight spot but the above instructions are drama- and athletics-free!

  3. Hello my friend. I enjoyed watching you mining with the Roc today. Even though I haven't used mine much, it is a great way to make some quick money in the game. You did a great job, and it was pretty profitable for you. Keep making these videos. This one would be a great instructional video for the new players, and I will suggest anyone that I mentor to watch it. Take care Farrister. Fly safe, and I'll see you in the verse.

  4. I love using my corsair for roc mining, I can load a Roc and a Roc DS in there just to have a backup, the downside is that the Corsair is slow and bulky compared to the Cutlass, Might try daymar soon, it's a lot flatter.

  5. i used to just pick everything anyway when the inventory came along,. it was frustrating to one at a time to moving them to the ship. I had such bad luck of finding the rocks i wanted so i just started hoowering everything i saw, and it made the whole deal less frustrating when i was making some progress atleast.
im so glad of the move all button and shift click function

  6. I could never find ROC or Prospector targets worth the trouble. The only stuff worth taking the time to break for me was hand minables, and back then itwas pick up every shard one at a time – stopping to turn the thing over to admire the shininess! >:I Drove me nuts.

  7. Is the hand mining laser powerful enough to break to rocks you were breaking in this video?
I could totally see someone completely starting out, with just lets say a c8x pisces, just mining that stuff into their backpack and starting their carreer that way.

  8. In relation to the 'variable ramp' point that you mentioned, I've always wondered what technical limit there is that prevents things like the landing gear and ramps from making use of the same kind of IK tech that is used on character's feet placement. Surely, using a variant of that would allow for both some level of self-leveling across landing gear, and ramps that would always try to reach the ground.
But like I said, I don't know what the tech requirements for that would be, or if it would potentially break some parts of ships
