Removing the Entire Base Game for a Unique Generations Experience | UnRimworld: Generations #1

https://www.patreon.com/MrSamuelStreamer

In a fit of madness, I slowly removed, merged, and changed all of the base game Rimworld plants, weapons, apparel, xenotypes, storytellers, biomes, furniture, you name it, leaving a fresh slate. Totally blank Rimworld to rebuild a whole new experience onto.

But there’s more. I specifically avoided any mods that I’d used frequently, or simply blended into Vanilla as if they weren’t even there at all (looking at you Vanilla Expanded). This is UnRimworld: Generations, a way for me to test and experience a mountain of mods with very little in the way of a totally fresh experience.

  1. Early cooling was invented surprisingly early! One of the earliest forms of which was the clay pot cooler, thought to be invented around 3000 BC.

It worked by having 2 clay pots, one slightly larger such that the smaller one fit inside it with a few inches of wiggle room inside. This room is then evenly packed with sand, suspending the inner pot inside the outer. It functioned by pouring water into this sand layer, where it would evaporate through the outer pot. This evaporation chilled the inner pot enough to function as an early refrigerator!

It got surprisingly cold too, as it could go down to the wet-bulb temperature, which is basically as cold as you would be soaking wet while standing in the wind!

  2. well, you say the big friends aren't on wikipedia, but if you had scrolled down a bit further you'd have seen that apis mellifera (western honey bee) was domesticated around 4000BC. so. yeah. bug friends. real thing. this playthrough is confirmed to be 100% historically (prehistorically?) accurate.

(there's also my favorite domesticated insect, the silk worm!)

  3. When a channel you have not watched in a while due to a backlog of other things I enjoy watching and I can immediately recall your channel name in an instant. You know you put out absolutely fire content! I can’t wait to catch up on all that I’ve missed. Keep up the great work man you’re going places. And I sincerely mean that. Hope you and Elise are well and keep up the great work mrsamuelstreamer. (Haha call back to what was one of your new channel names you were going to pick.) long time fan and always will be
