I saw both consoles center and overhead! Nice. My 68 has both also.
It was hard to see when the motor was out I thought all 427 had crossbolt main caps.
I don't think you have a 427 there. I saw a counterweight on the flex plate and the 427 was zero balance if you pull the heads check for 4.25 bore, 3.78 stroke to be sure.
After watching you guys take this Mustang apart, I wouldn't let you guys work on a moped.
I get a hell of lot more selling them for export.. just sold 68 428 R code fastback all original with 52k original miles to a Swiss buyer.. 380 grand.. not bad for 45k purchase.. I sell more impalas bound for Europe than I do lower 48
Outstanding job guys. Looking forward to seeing that 427 running.
Rare car..work taken on by butcher brothers,,you's are a disgrace lads,,if thats how you treat a rare car id hate to see your work on normal ones
This surely takes me back! I actually bought a new 1967 Mustang convertible late in 1966. Ordered it with 390, 4 speed, 3.25 locker (which was 9") disk brakes, and power top. Thought it too tame, then a buddy and I thrashed on it for a long weekend, and installed a new 427 long block, which came with a solid lifter cam, lifters, adjustable rockers, push rods, and heads. I don't remember what the compression ratio was, but it liked Sunoco 260. Only hold up came when we went to put the valve covers from the 390 on, and found they wouldn't fit over the adjustable rockers. Had to make a quick trip into town for the right ones, which they actually had on the shelf, in chrome no less! Everything fit, even the exhaust manifolds, and yes, the last couple of plugs on the left were a pain to change. I bought a plug socket with a universal made on it, and used it with a long extension. The end result was a bit of a handful to drive around town with no power steering and sticky Firestone Wide Ovals! I think they were H70-14s. The trans was a 10 bolt top loader Ford, and the clutch was a Long type, and I think it was 12". I sold the car to a co-worker late in 1968. I heard later that he had topped a hill a might too quickly, and didn't have air brakes. RIP John.
So sick of people flipping these cars when people who actually want them can't find em.
I love those old cab overs (COE's)!!!
Very cool!!!!!!!!!
NICE 67' CAMARO😁😁
427! that thing is a pile of shit. and the motor is scrap crap
Love following channels from Pa being a Pa native myself.
💯🔥🧯🦾
Never side-load a shackle like that, one eyelette through the shackle bell, the other through the shackle pin. Or both straps through the bell and the chain to the pin.
tough to watch the original build sheet get sucked up into the vacuum! 😢
Is there any other person than him there
427 side oiler chevy culdnt build nothing to hold a candle to .
That looked like a very desirable car when it was new the deluxe interior was an option that was not seen on many Mustang GT cars, Most GT had the regular black dash inserts instead of the Aluminum! the roof and floor Counsils were also desirable. I owned a 1968 fastback back in the late 1960's wish i still had that car, the old trade it every 3 years thing replaced mine with a newer car.
This is the second time I've seen your chanll guys love old cars and trucks. Looking forward to seeing the mustang up and running. Good luck with the rest of it. Paddy from Belfast Ireland.
Very nice
Get rid of the music
