We gotta get you guys playing the wii and 3DS titles. They were so good! Sidenote even though it was brought up briefly, the Atelier series is top notch if you haven't tried it before I know it's not typical for the channel but they are very similar to Rune Factory imo.
I got addicted to rune factory first and then futuristic harvest moon for psp. Grand bazaar was my second main series addiction because of the festivals, windmills, and bug catching. Animal parade is the second I finished after futuristic harvest moon. A new beginning is the only other one I finished the story for. Trio of towns may be my favorite but I loved all of the 3ds games. I can't get into the console ones older than magical melody because they're too fast and stressful for me. I did get pretty far in the first gb game on the 3ds virtual console. I really don't like any of the switch games but pioneer is probably my favorite other than the Doraemon spinoffs.

I think they're gonna remake magical melody, but I wish they would do Animal Parade. I have never played any of the older games, in spite of owning a wii at the time, I just never knew farming sims existed! Wish I had.

As Josh said: AWL is Yasuhiro Wada's favorite Harvest Moon (IGN Interview "Chatting with the creator of Harvest Moon, IDK if links are allowed in here lol) because it is what he envisioned for Harvest Moon all along "leading a full and happy existence from beginning to end" ("Yasuhiro Wada waxes nostalgic about Harvest Moon" on engadget).

I feel like I never meet people who were addicted to Harvest Moon games in my town, I loved this collab! I LOVED Harvest Moon DS Cute. I miss when there were extremely challenging tasks, like waking the princess in the mines. Loved Magical Melody too, the pig was so cute! Definitely miss the darker and more difficult features. They're a little too cutsey now. Maybe I'm too dark but I actually loved the town aging/passing, risk of destruction, and rival marriages.
Both of them will be an NPC in Trade Tales!
My favorite episode of the poscast so far. I know glider gives connotation of open world, but maybe its more like shortcuts like in ANB? Or like the owl from Tale of Two Towns…
Also, you should do a retrospective just on the portable Bokumono games!

Hi from Indonesia. Fellow Norwegian with Ircha 🤗 SPYxFAMILY is one anime I really want to recommend because it's always fun every episode and also has a nice progression story wise. Honestly the cutest anime so I think it will suit both of you. Fullmetal Alchemist didn't leave much of an impression for me even after finishing Brotherhood (the sequal) that's supposed to be better than the first part. If you love down to earth things like HM you might also like "Free!" And "Say: I love you" or perhaps "Ranking of Kings" that has the best characters.
Btw, thank you for helping me get into HM. I have been wanting it for a while and now I know how to go about it☺️🤗❤️
Hi i loved this podcast but i was wondering what you think of harvest moon island of happiness. Becaus honestly that was my first harvest moon game and to date is still my favorite since there were so many nice features. Do you think there will be a remake of that game?
