  1. Good afternoon Donna,
I never cut up a whole chicken before. I don’t like to handle the stuff inside of the chicken. Lol. I love the scale and I liked where you put it. The chicken casserole sounds so delicious. I enjoy hanging out with you. You’re so sweet and kind. You live a realistic lifestyle. Thank you for sharing this great video.

  2. Great day in the life. Love your scale. I bought one today at a vintage market and it has the rusty crusty red top and I love it. I don’t know what they usually go for but I found one for 59.00 and that was too much for me. I went on around to some other booths and found one for 32.00. I got it. Can’t wait to style it. They are so hard to find out in the wild. Y’all have rurnt me on all this vintage decor. 😂❤

  3. As an adult, all I ever wanted was and still is to be a good wife and mother!!! I worked outside the home for about 35 years total. I was able to stay home with my first baby for only a year before returning to work, which was such a disappointment for me. This was one of the reasons my first marriage ended. I was a single parent for almost three years before my second marriage. We have been together/married for 46 years in January. When our daughter was born, I stayed home almost four years. I didn’t really have to go back to work, but my husband’s grandmother
wanted and needed to come live with us; so having family available to care for our daughter and son in our home, made it possible for me to go back to work without worrying about my children being with strangers all day. I stopped working and called myself retired at age 56 which was 14 years ago. I love and I am very thankful to be able to stay home all day every day to care for my home and care for my husband. You have definitely amassed a wonderful vintage scale collection!!! I have never seen the top of anyone’s kitchen cabinets decorated as beautifully as yours are decorated!!! I am sure you will come up with something perfect and interesting to hang on the wall behind all the wonderful items on top of your kitchen cabinets. I think vintage trays would look nice or even a collection of vintage plates or platters. Framed vintage doilies or vintage flour sacks might even be something worth looking for. Vintage metal signs also come to my mind as something I’ve seen in antique stores that might work for you. I am sure you will eventually find something you love!!!

  4. I too love being a wife and homemaker. I am 67 years old and worked my entire life. Retired at 62 and cannot believe what I have been missing all of these years. Love my home more than ever now that I can actually enjoy it.

  5. Oh my goodness Donna, you were describing exactly how I feel about being a wife and homemaker. My goal in life is to become a Proverbs 31 woman. NIne years ago when my husband read Proverbs 31, he told me he found the scripture that fit me perfectly. That was the greatest compliment that he could have given me. I pray everyday that God will help me be a Proverbs 31 woman. Nothing gives me greater joy than to have a clean, well organized home. I love the look of your pheasant feathers on your table over your LR rug. I can cut up a chicken, but I usually buy it already cut up. (I know…the lazy girl way 😃). Have a great weekend! Love & hugs from West Tennessee!

  6. I am also a homemaker and my husband has the same beliefs as James. I used to work out of the home before and after our daughter was born and it was very hard. After she was born and I went back to work, she got sick multiple times with RSV from her daycare, that ultimately lead me to lose my job. With the lack of understanding from my employer, we both decided I should stay home to raise her and be a homemaker, and I am so grateful I have the opportunity to do so.

  7. ❤️‍🩹🥺😥🙏✝️ I miss being a wife so much! We ended up with very heavy rain and high winds from the hurricane. Folks who live down near the river had to be evacuated. We live on a hill, so flooding wasn't an issue but the wind sounded like it was going to break every window in the house! My sister had a tree fall on their property, thankfully not near their house. Its been a mess with tree limbs and debris all over the roads out here in the country! Two areas in southwest VA did have tornadoes touch down and caused horrible damage & lives lost. I just had to lay on my bed and pray! Thank God, He got us thru it! We have a limb that fell beside the garage and another one hanging down so far I'm waiting for it to just snap off! But God is good! I hope & pray everyone struggling with the horrible flooding & tornadoes will be able to recover soon! God bless y'all always, from VA!

  8. I am the same way I changed out all my outlets in the house to either a copper bronze or a black oily bronze, depending on the room all my door knobs are the black oil with the copper. It makes such a big difference in your home. I love that scale I had said in the past, I have an old red rusty one that I’ve had for almost 30 years, with the top to it. I absolutely love it. It sits on my jelly cabinet. Have a blessed weekend, my friend and stay safe🙏love to you, James and Buster boo🐶from me and Otis🐶, Massachusetts. I have a chalk-ware Lord’s supper hanging in my kitchen. I think it would look beautiful up there because they are a good size😊 just a suggestion, my friend.

  9. Yes, sister-friend, it brings great joy when a relationship stands on mutual submission. Yaaaaay! I must say, I do NOT know how to cut up a chicken. If I use chicken in a recipe, I either use breasts or rotisserie. Guess I never saw the need or lazy. Probably lazy. Hi Buster, you precious boy. Have a beautiful weekend. Love you🥰

  11. I love being a homemaker even tho I work outside our home i enjoy taking care of my husband and our home to us my working outside our home makes things easier to do the wants that we do. We have 3 beautiful grown children, 1 son-in-law and 2 beautiful daughter-in-laws that are more friends than anything i enjoy doing all the extra for them and with them we have 11 grandbabies so working out side the home does make things more enjoyable for us all.

  14. Hey Girl! Oh my goodness. We didn't have internet for 3 days. We are so spoiled in this modern world. I am from the old world where the wife takes care of her husband and home. I wouldn't change a thing. That Buster just makes my day. I love that t-shirt. Got a lot of catching up to do. Hugs & Love! Prayers for Florida, my heart aches for them. ❤🙏🙏
