Checking out this neat Intel Atom mini PC, known as the Green PC from Sassy’s Computers in Asheville, North Carolina! It was billed as a low-power, eco-friendly desktop computer, which is really a Shuttle XS35GT V2 underneath. So let’s upgrade and restore it with an SSD and Windows XP Media Center Edition!

I'm still using one of these systems. They were build in different versions like mine has no Nvidia ion unit but the simply Intel gma.
On my side this little thing is running as a proxmox backup server with an 500gb hdd xD
This would be a great device to try out Chrome OS Flex. I've read of so many older 2010ish devices running it.
Amazing what a difference an SSD makes. No wonder they called them "Ultrabooks" when they came out.
I wouldn't mind having one of these. it would be decent for a living room entertainment box to put behind the tv and use a bluetooth mini keyboard/trackpad to control it from the couch. Although these days you can do that with a raspberry pi, which uses even less power. Once the pi 5 eventually comes out I may just build a entertainment center out of it.
You should make the driver's available online because who knows when the website will disappear. Learned this the hard way

Watching GTA SA running like that brings back some memories, I recall me and every single one of the persons I met having pretty bad laptops and running games like that was seen as a saviour.
XP surely brings back some memories, and I sometimes wish I wasn't so young back then to be able to live them properly.
This rreally motivates me to upgrade my Compaq Q1 from 2011 that ALSO has Intel Atom, I just recently installed Windows 10 and replaced the hard drive, but maybe I will push more upgrades.

The Atom d525 only supports DDR800, but were very popular pfsense targets back in the day, around 2012. But they were limited to 500Mbps NAT/55Mbps VPN.

Last year I found a part of cash register machine on the street and dual core atom board was mounted in! And it works, which is amazing, Just swapped the cooler and added ram stick, now I can build a mini pc for whatever reason lol
