Predicting what will be in the upcoming Chaos Dwarfs DLC for TOTAL WAR: Warhammer III. With the first DLC race race pack almost certainly the Chaos Dwarfs there’s a lot of lore and mechanics to consider – so let’s theorycraft. Who it will include? Astragoth Ironhand? Shar’Tor the Executioner? Drazhoath the Ashen? Or maybe even a Hobgoblin Lord?

  1. I can see the train as a sort of battle ability, something like the coast vampires have already, with landmarks/workshop mechanic, that would be adding more wagons and power to your train, with a normal railroad-type of building, which would add the mechanic to the region and add campaign movement bonus or something like that.

  2. Another cool lord/hero would be Thordrek Hackhart. The Dawi-Zharr Isn’t a very spread out faction, but he could appear pretty much anywhere since he’s lurking the ocean depths with Black Kraken. He could also be a crossover hero for both the Dawi-Zharr and the Dreadfleet!

  3. Astragoth Ironhand, Drazoath the Ashen, Shartor (big hope for this guy's inclusion) and Tordrek Hackhart would be the perfect LL candidates IMO.

Shartor could be up in the north near Grimgor and Kholek, while Tordrek Hackhart is the only Chaos Dwarf who could fit anywhere else in the world, cause of his navy related theme. Also a rivalry between him and Red Brokk would be SOOO cool 😀 It'd be a nice face off between these two rival races. Astragoth and Drazoath should 100% start in their lore appropriate regions in the Darklands.

I personally hope Hobgoblins get their own race pack. One or two legendary lords are just fine for them. One in the Eastern Steppes, most likely Gorduz, and the other could be Ghazak Khan in the wastes above Naggaroth or somewhere around the Mountains of Mourne.

  4. I hope CA doesn't miss this opportunity to have fun and get creative with their warmachines, making different from other factions.
Also in the campaign map with some railroad teleports and bonuses (I'm high on hopium for wartrain defense battles)

  5. Regarding the mechanics of "petrification".
Firstly – this curse is permanent and cannot be passed on to anyone.
Secondly – If the chaos dwarves could do that, then the oldest and most powerful of them would not cut off everything that had not had time to turn to stone and would not put themselves in an exoskeleton.
Thirdly – petrification accumulates its curse for hundreds of years and not after casting a couple of spells. And fourthly, this feature could be displayed visually and not mechanically.
For – the fact that the sorcerer is carried on a palanquin by slaves, or that he is inside a demonic armored suit.

  6. I think the Hobgobline could be a Greenskin sub-faction instead, similar to Green Prophet that they replace the ork recruit building tree with Hobgobline…Can only recruit Orks very limited…

  7. And I do think Generic Melee Lords could be a thing, consider many generic Lord here are Not on table top, infact may legendary Lords themselves are Hero Option on table…
So Generic Chaos Dwarf Melee Lord could be a thing, like some sort of "Chief agent" of the Soccer Lords…
Kind of like Night Goblin warboss…
It's just for gameplay and playstyle you see…
