Math was right. There should’ve been an effort to bend standards toward what Canibus was doing vs making him conform to established norms. There was a lack of imagination in terms of how to best accommodate his talents. This where a Rick Rubin or a RZA would’ve served him better than the industry conformists.

I don't think Math gets the concept and the reason why those "No hook" records like a milly blew up. See the reason being is that in between those bars, there was some catchy lines and the way they were said. Like when Wayne said "damn i hate a shy chick, don't you hate a shy chick yeah i ate a shy chick!" and "mf i'm ill" little lines like that that the crowd can recite back and say it with a passion as if they we're a "hook" itself. Ain't no one making hit songs with just crazy lyricism on full blast, you gotta have a pause here, a catchy line there, something simple in between so that way you can pause at your shows and have the crowd recite those catchy lines. There's a science to this lol
