'Red Revolution' Of Labour's New Employment Laws | David Bull

The Labour government’s proposed new employment laws have sparked a mass debate. Dr David Bull is joined by remote working consultant Marilyn Devonish to discuss issues around scrapping anti-strike laws, citing potential negative impacts on economic growth.

Marilyn takes a more optimistic approach, suggesting new measures could have potential benefits for work-life balance and productivity in the workforce.

Despite differing opinions, David and Marilyn agree that the new laws will have significant implications for the future of work.

  1. We are all free to be free without infringement as a center left capitalist. only the left are infringing on freedoms. reform voters are disaffected lefties who want to reclaim left wing capitalism. The left think their immune from certain things like being an authoritarian government that opposes democracy because only the right can be fascist apparently but the proofs in the pudding.

  2. Fact the UK workers have less employment rights, than any other European citizen from 1st World Countries, look at the employment rights in Sweden, Denmark, Holland, France, Germany etc., workers in the UK, also have less holidays and work longer hours!
So, for anyone who is a worker, these new laws help to protect them! That is a basic right! As is the right to strike!

  3. I see a difference between Labour and the tories here.
When the tories say "we'll make employment pay" what they actually mean is not that they'll improve anything for people in work but they'll cut benefits including for those on low wages.
When Labour say "we'll make working pay" they actually intend to improve things for workers.
