Rebecca Mains

Well, we’ve properly gotten this series off the ground with videos on Tapp, Jeff, Ash, and Yun-Jin, so let’s keep things going with our DBD Mains series and look at Resident Evil’s Rebecca Chambers. She’s not as popular as the other RE characters, but that shouldn’t matter; she’s a great character and there’s a lot to talk about.

Sit back, relax, and enjoy – I had a lot of fun making this one!

  1. Your take on Rebecca being a rookie and the youngest member so far in the series(I think anyway). She was a child prodigy and graduated college early, and her first few missions were RE 0 and 1,and she was nowhere near as experienced as Chris and Jill. As you said,if we see a Rebecca now in current canon she'd probably be as much of a badass as Ada or Jill

  2. Cool fact about the remake version of Wesker's "Rebecca photo". They didn't wanna bother redoing it from scratch, so they took promo art from RE0 Remaster (I think) of her Basket Ball outfit and added criss-crossed legs in front of the hips. Once you notice, it looks super jarring, lol

  3. I've been playing Sable a lot lately, but I'll always be a Rebecca main at heart. I strive for altruism, always having at least one healing perk on me and I go usually go for saves even in the most dire of situations. I love Becca, she's so cute

  4. i simply love how rebecca fits perfectly in dbd, even if she doesnt get the love that she deserves… im sure tho that it is not bhvr’s fault, its just the license that limits their options and some people in the community already think that resident evil got too much attention in the first place.
Personally, i dont think that… i main wesker and nemesis before the rework as killer… sometimes i play as feng valentine bcs i love the idea… so as a conclusion, in another universe we couldve got squads full of rebecca with plenty of skins who are there to loop the killer and being the team’s healer

  5. Unfortunately my attitude towards Rebecca (and by extension Ada) as a full fledged survivor will forever be tarnished by the error from BHVR and Capcom of not saving Chris and Claire for a second chapter that ended up happening.

  6. My bestie I play with often is a Rebecca main (because they share the same name)but honestly, she fits the character so well. We're both on death hook? I'll take chase even though I'm injured. Being camped? I'll trade with you, now go heal up! In the endgame and the killer is slugging? I'm not leaving you behind, either we both get out or neither of us do.

She's honestly iconic for that, ily Rebecca never stop being a legend<3

  7. that leon main comment has me worried for his video lol. also hey, not all leon mains are dumb! i mean, i am, but there's a few smart ones out there! but i do hope we pass the vibe check once we face judgement. we're stupid, but in an overly altruistic way. we mean well…

but i agree with what you said about rebecca!! most people who play her are very sweet, and i have several healing builds saved on her for when i feel like being even more altruistic! it is a shame though that she has so few cosmetics. i'd love to see her more in the trials!

edit: also thank you for what you said about the beginning! strength really does come in all shapes and sizes! i'm so tired of seeing people think women in fiction need to be "girlbosses" (read, masculine traits but on a woman) in order to be well written or good characters. i appreciate how kind she is in canon! gentleness in the face of horrors is strength i'd think! and people are allowed to get scared!

  8. for the next character you could cover is well the rest of the RE survivors to keep the RE ball rolling, I'm curious about what are your thoughts on Leon mains, Jill mains, and Ada mains and maybe touch on the RE killers Wesker and nemesis

  9. when the chapter first came out i'd say rebeccas were really solid and adas were immersed and kinda useless, i think cause on release rebecca had the better perks so veteran players were grinding to unlock them. now it's switched and adas are considered sweaty compys since she's quiet and rebeccas are… well meaning if a little ditzy lol

  10. There's a small subsection of Rebecca players (usually the ones wearing the cowgirl outfit) who are the most disgusting and vile people on the planet. They're so toxic they make Claudette mains faint and even Nea mains will gasp when reading what certain cowgirl Rebeccas type in the post-game chat. They're toxic to both sides and will throw the game for their team the moment they think they aren't up to snuff.
Most Rebeccas are sweethearts but as survivor I autododge any cowgirl Rebecca because there's a 1/3 chance they're an awful toxic piece of shit.

  11. I assume you are treating Legendary Survivors as just a part of the normal survivor? I ask because sometimes legendary character variations play differently from one another.

For instance, I primarily main James Sunderland over Cheryl, and my understanding of these "what your main says about you" is that Legendary survivors are sometimes completely different from the base survivor. Cheryl's vary from toxic to fun based on what I've seen. That said in my case, I'm an okay survivor who will usually be the one who dies if it means the others get out. I'm not the best at chases, but I'm the one who goes for objectives and alturism.

The difference is small, usually, but I'm just curious if that distinction is important to you or not.
