A broken set on your favourite char doesn't feel satisfying and just means more grinding in the domain until the lucky pieces arrive.
I actually use the genshin optimiser a lot and it always puts me back into a set bonus pieces once I take into account the effect, team composition and setting minimum er. E. G. Blizzard strayer and a cryo team will lower your cr needs and the optimiser will take into account the effects.
Hard to build chars and teams without the optimiser now when I hv a few hundred lvl20 artifacts after years of playing.
my kazuha has a decent almost 900 em while also brandishing 1700 atk and 1000 def. it is a broken set and strong
A future video idea kinda in line with this, artifact set tier list? You can make different ones (aesthetic based, 4pc based, universalness, overall) and it could be fun
10k resin? pff thats a fraction of what I spent that for my Raiden (I spent a literal year of resin skipking only a day here and there)
For why I use a broken 2 EM, 2atk% set on cyno rather than a 4 gilded. My broken set allows me to achieve the same crit ratio with EM/electro/Atk% WITH 300 more atk, and double the EM as gilded would have given me through the set bonus. I was also able to achieve the perfect crit ratio at 90/180 with that broken set.
You used the Genshin Optimizer wrong, dummy. Just watch a few videos on the optimizer, they're linked on the site itself.
Raw stats are better than a 4 piece set when the raw stats provide MORE stats than the 4piece set would have given. ie, it's really easy to surpass 4 gilded with substats if you have very good EM and Atk% sets
I think 4pc sets are important and its a must farm for certain characters Husk for Itto and albedo, vermillion hereafter for xiao, Vv for anemo supports, Noblesse for support especially Bennett and so on. But if you do not after the perfect stats especially for your DPS go for what works best as long as your characters can use it. The supports should have the set bonus but your DPS should have the damage. However 4pc are still important so keep farming as much as painful that is.

AR 59 – I have only spent resin in an artifact domain twice.
and one of them was for 4 stars. I can't 36 star but I have at least 2 starred every floor for nearly a year now. highest crit dmg substat is 35 on an em circlet wanderers and 10.9 crit rate on a crit dmg circlet wanderers.
Strong box twice(a year between use) both on blizzard got 7 beautiful chef's kiss pieces [Kaeya main not about to be overthrown by Scaramouche]

It wasn't on my own accord though I was peer pressured wanted something for Itto Albedo Gorou Noelle geo supremacy got one goodish artifact atk goblet 7.8 rate 11.7 dmg 18 er and never again.

Least Expensive: Kazuha 2 pity 50/50
Have 80 fragile resin totally won't go against my fate and beliefs for that juicy looking new set for Scara I also love Venti Sucrose Sayu Tighnari Nahida-
The damge different between Xaio's broken set and signature set is 10%
Just be sure you are checking off artifact perks in Genshin Optimizer when setting up filters per character. For example, I had rainbow be a top pick for Albedo until I turned on the perks for Husk at max stacks.
damn genshin is a really complex game, it's easy once you getting good artifacts but to increase difficulty you could just use different artifacts, the real skill in genshin is legit understanding your artifacts and resources management which I think really makes it good, except the rng off course

Just transfer your artifacts, we aren't making new combat content and we don't plan on making existing combat content hard enough to need good artifacts anyway. No need to fix artifacts

60/120 Ganyu on wandered set, what have you been doing your Ganyu is so much worse than many f2p Ganyus I've seen and you are a whale
Eula is an exception for the 4piece set because 18% attack is nothing if you have 2 bs and 2pf and you can use the strong box
In Ganyu's case, the difference in the damage comes from the sheer amount of attack that she's lost. People underestimate the value of attack for their characters, but getting 2k+ attack is almost always WAY more valuable than getting crit stats. People overestimate crit and underestimate attack.

So I have jade cutter on my Ayaka, so I don’t need the 4p blizzard for the crit rate and with the sword she has 76% w/o cryo res, personally I think my 2p 2p works because it feels more consistent then having to rely on blizzard for crit rate but I do have the inazuma crafted sword, would it be more worth it to switch builds?
You forgot that a lot of those crit stats are dependent on the Attack buffs that supports provide because 250 atk is pretty noticable indeed, but once you use bennett with both, the crit set on ayato should pull far ahead. Add in the shred and you see why CV is the most sought after stats

I use broken sets because artifact farming ruins my motivation to play this game. It's never good enough I farmed them for 6 months and didn't get a god peice. I got some okay peices. But it's so hard ;0; RNG murders me every time.

Honestly I think hoyoverse are missing out by not making an unlockable universal 6th artifact slot- It would make different character builds a lot better and a lot more flexible

Well, there actually are some damage sets that are more important than others, in a general sense? Like not running 4Crimson isn’t a big deal as long as your MDPS isn’t Diluc, but for pretty much every permafreeze DPS it’s significantly better to run Blizzard Strayer (to the point that permafreeze is an incentivized playstyle for quite a few powerful Cryo DPS). Meanwhile, 4Thundering Fury was so bad for a long time that it was better to run 4Thundersoother. It depends on a lot of factors, basically.
i mean Nilou wants EM too if you using dendro.. so kinda fake news, and if there were another HP+ 2 piece giving set then what you said would be rather null. I get it though, if you don't have the pieces then your optimum is likely to be broken sets, and the only way to know is through that site. Also surely 30% def is as good as 15% geo damage for Itto or albedo. Granted Archaic could be as good or even better than Husk for albedo, depending on whether your other units are managing more damage overall than him, otherwise it does seem like you could go either way

Heck, I’m about to start using four star artifacts because all of the four stars get CR or CD main stats and not the five stars-
They drop new artifacts so often but their RGN sucks so much I honestly cannot comprehend how they expect us to keep wanting to farm full sets for our characters
Really puts perspective on sets instead of halfassing it and wondering why your seemingly broken character does so little damage
I like using 4pc because it makes me feel better 😐
