An observational documentary series that follows the personal stories of sailors aboard HMS Illustrious during a rare four month deployment. One of only two aircraft carriers in the British Naval fleet, the 20,000 tonne ship has a crew of 1,000, as well as its own mayor, police force and fire service. As the ship sails on an important mission, the series offers a unique insight into the daily lives of the ship’s crew.

if I was to join would I get respected? no its just people pretending to appreciate your service on protecting them so they don't have to do it them selves. people need to learn on respecting people who are risking their lives for them and to actually show that they appreciate the work that you do.

I wouldn't go on that Submarine if you paid me, even a 3 hour flight is enough claustrophobia for me.
I still can't get over the fact that your country places so little value on the people defending it that it spends less to feed each member of the forces than it does to feed a federal prisoner.
One day these folks might realize they have all the weapons. When they finally become hungry and bored enough from their dull diet, perhaps they will, quite rightly, decide to eat the pencil pushers who thought this was a reasonable cost saving strategy.
My dad was a helicopter engineer so we went to a lot of aviation shows and a was literally fast asleep when they did the vertical flight and landing I slept through the whole thing and the pilot came over when I woke up to tell my parents that he had never seen anyone do what I had done I was 8 years old 🎉😅

When was this Illustrious has been decommissioned for years and we sold the Sea Harriers to America,.
