He is wrong…Sweden havent been "neutral",..Sweden been a non-military alliance-policy….he doesnt know what he is talking about…when it comes to that… 🙂
Sweden had a unique status as a negotiator in conflicts because of our neutrality. But we were forced to give it up when Putin aggressively attacked it's neighbor country. Instead of saving the planet and spend our resources on good things we are accelerating the pace of our future human global demise. It's so sad.

as a Swede, I can answer that question.
Specially during ww2.
Sweden became "trapped" between 3 nations
Germany to the south. Russia to the east and the Allies to the west If we chose the "wrong" side then we would have 2 / 3 other countries on us.
Neither Norway, Denmark and sweden could match the powerhouse from Germany in terms of military
And with Germany conquering Denmark in around 6 hours we knew we didn't had a single chance in hell of standing up to Germany.
So by that large we chose neutrality
Sweden has been in war with Russia on and off for more than 1 thusand years. Our borders have been shrunken by 2/3. Finland, Estonia, Latvia and large parts of mainland Russian have all been Swedish. We have founded cities far into Russia including their second largest city St Petersburg but also Kiev that swedish weapons now defend again.
The mistakes made after the Cold War were immense. Since then swedish economy has dropped and quality of life has lowered constantly. Most companies have been bought up by US and Chinese megacorporations and after a few years closed the doors, taking the knowledge to local factories. The once shining industrial powerhouse supplying 80% of metal for Europe is now in a downgoing spiral for 30 years. The good stuff he's talking about in the video is all tech that was started during Cold War but has survived the budget cuts. Where did the money go?
