  1. Mothman is one of West Virginia's most famous residents (lol), as it's among the most famous American cryptids aside of Bigfoot. I live about 45 miles (~70km) from Point Pleasant, WV where it was allegedly spotted. It's actually a very quaint little town, and they hold a big Mothman Festival every year that ends up attracting a surprising amount of people. I've been a couple times, and have friends that go every year. There's also a huge steel Mothman statue in the center of town. There also used to be an abandoned children's asylum a few miles away that we would check out pretty often, but we got busted by the cops for trespassing a couple times before it was torn down. Strange area, but interesting!

  2. A lot of these are complete bullshit, but big foot has been seen in many states. You really have to remember how F'ing big the US is. As someone who's lived here 61 years (ya,I'm old) trust me, if something wants to hide in the woods, trust me, it would be very hard to find.

  3. I'm from Ohio and I'm going to guess either the grassman, mothman or loveland frogman. Could be bigfoot, we know it's always bigfoot. (or sassy ghost babies) The bigfoot footage is the Patterson-Gimlin film.. It's was taken in 1967. Hollywood special effects were no where near able to create this at the time. Around my family, our cryptid is known as raw head and bloody bones. It's an old wives tell from Ireland meant to scare us into being good when we were little. You need to remember, all myths start somewhere.

  4. Yes, the Jersey Devil is a thing. Navy documents, recently declassified, reported that there were so much live stock lost from local farms, the government sent men from a local naval base to look for whatever was doing this. They caught and killed it and an autopsy showed that it was female and pregnant. Maybe it’s an actual animal that lives in the Pine Barrens, and contrary to legend about the Leeds family, there may be more than one! 😳 And yes, I live on the northern fringes of the Pine Barrens.

  5. I've never heard about most of these creatures!! Bigfoot, Chupacabra, Skunk ape, Sasquatch & Mothman, are the only ones I've heard about. At least here in the US. Loch Ness monster, Yeti and Krampus, I've heard about over seas.

  6. So Im in Arkansas/Oklahoma and I have known people who I would respect not to lie that have seen the cherokee little people, also Cherokee people wont talk about the little people bc they dont like it and think they will come and mess with you. Im suprised you havent seen the bigfoot footage before, I havent finished the video yet but I wonder does Sweden have any cryptids?

  7. There is a good technical breakdown on YouTube of the Patterson Bigfoot video they showed for California and upon up close video enhancement you can see the Bigfoot actually has breasts and the leg muscles can be seen to bulge while its walking. A feat claimed impossible by even the best Hollywood prop/FX guys in the 1960s!

  8. The Jersey Devil Has Many Origins

Before it was known as the Jersey Devil, the creature was more commonly called the Leeds Devil. The origin of this name has a few different backstories.

One legend maintains that in 1735, a destitute New Jersey woman referred to as Mother Leeds became pregnant with her 13th child. Leeds’ husband was reportedly a drunkard who was unable to properly provide for his large family. Desperate, Mother Leeds cried out, “Let this child be the devil!”

On a stormy night months later, Mother Leeds gave birth to a normal-looking baby boy. But then, before the midwives and Mother Leeds’ 12 other children, the infant transformed into a winged beast with a long tail and talons. Mother Leeds is said to have tried to confine the beast to her home, but it grew quickly and viciously — and one day killed her before escaping into the woods.

  9. Fun video. Yes, that narrator went very fast. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of the Pigman in Vermont, and I’m almost confused by this video not talking about Champ, the Lake Champlain monster. The lake goes nearly the length of the state between Vermont and New York. Champ is said to look like the Loch Ness monster, but a bit smaller. It was known by the indigenous people before colonization too. Much cooler than some old pigman that was only seen on one night. 🙄😆 I still keep hoping I’ll see it one day.

  10. I live in a small town on the border of okc Oklahoma. No joke there was a place we would go hang out done by a river in middle of nowhere. One night we were out there playing guitars and herd this growlish noise in the distance. Wasn’t a cat native here but like a dogish cat kinda growl. As we hung out it woks circling us closer and we all be like looking at each other going wtf is that. Shortly it was right beside us. We all jumped into the truck and drove back into town going we never a animal make that kinda noise. I’m not sure didn’t sound like a black panther it had a more of canine growl but it was circling in on us quickly. I’m not so sure what it was but got close enough we all didn’t say anything we just all got in the truck and booked it out. I’ll never forget that when I her that wierd like pig, cat, dog growl sound. It rings thru my head till this day.

  11. To answer your question, Bigfoot=🐮💩. 😁 I’ve lived in Tennessee for 47 years and I’ve never heard of “not deer”. I’m going to guess the legend is probably from Appalachians. Sounds like something a moonshiner might see after a night to quality control.

  12. The Nebraska lake walgren monster lives in such a small body of water for the alleged size of the creature, me living in Nebaraska, it's just a bar/pub story. On the other hand, stories that are passed down from the native tribes, I would listen.

  13. I think it's quite possible that we have "so many monster" legends because America is made up of people from around the world. Not only did they bring their traditions and foods with them….they brought their legends too. Sounds like a lot of the "monsters" that guy was talking about all sound like the same thing…bigfoot. I'll miss not having my TV dish. I liked watching the show Expedition Bigfoot.
