Reacting to My Own GARBAGE Tier List Part 4: Darkest Dungeon Community Show Episode 11

The birth of the grave robber simp can be seen here, betwixt the shadows and amid the murmurs. The next video will be a bit shorter since it’s only 2 heroes. It’s been interesting watching these again and seeing how my opinions have changed over the years.

  1. Are you going to react to your trinket tier lists next? Or are the tier lists you made for trinkets good enough that doesn’t warrant a reaction?

  2. I actually watched your videos during my first playthrough around mid level dungeons and I thought the background footage of darkest dungeons were courtyard stuff (because of the red) and since I haven't activated crimson court at first, I just assumed that I wouldn't see them. So, not spolied I guess?

  3. Damage is calculated:
    Min = Round(Lo * DMGMod * DMGBonus * DMGDebuff * PROTPenalty)
    Max = Round(Hi * DMGMod * DMGBonus * DMGDebuff * PROTPenalty)

    Lo=>Low damage boundary from weapon
    HI=>High damage boundary from weapon
    DMGMod=>Pull a floating point factor from the skill percent DMGMod. +20%=> 1.2, -50%=> 0.5
    DMGBonus=> Sum all +% DMG that apply to the skill and the turn conditions(low/high light, character HP, damage to finale if using finale,…): trinkets, quirks, diseases, buffs. Then pull a factor.
    PROTPenalty=>If target has PROT calculate the damage output factor. 20%=>0.8 and so on until 100%=>0
    DMGDebuff=>If character is affected by -%DMG effects.

    Normal hits draw a number between Min and Max: don't know if they use some probabilistic distribution or non-biased random, but judging that lows and highs don't happen often I would say they are using a probabilistic distribution. Similar to OCC heal: if his total range is 0-22 while he does draw 0s and 20+ sometimes, most of the times he tends to draw in the range 5-12
    CRIT hits multiply Hi * 1.5 and then do the rest of the calculation and that's the damage.

  5. The occultist portion of this video is so wild. Bonk vestal, daggers and darts gr, and occultist in rank 3 using roof spaghetti in the ruins where there are just literally no eldritch enemies in this biome at all. Why Old Shuff?????
