Homie in the dirty one's shouldn't be on the panel. He's not making any sense.
Kendrick doesn't need ghost writers but Drake SMH it's over Drake
Katt Williams said alot of people are going to get exposed in 2024
But the other reason why most people where in kdots side beside mzk …..drake is part of the new culture tht people hate nowadays like refusing to grow up ,not being a leader in community etc
When he says I pass like Stockton, remember his team mate Karl Malone caught a a charge with a minor.
i see why j cole bowed out😂😂 the smoke was not meant for him
In"6:16 in LA" The man starts with a song repenting because he falls short and is preparing for war.
In "Euphoria" he initially speaks like a therapist but some part of it is chilling because it gives a clear warning. He warns him that he's predicting his moves and will hunt him down with a poker face so be sure to keep it friendly and quit while you're ahead.
In "Meet the Grahams" the piano keys sound like the haunting steps of a k*ller referencing what he would do in euphoria. He pens letters to the victim's family. It was creepy and immediately shifted the energy off of the hype ness of family matters into something dark and haunting like Michael Myers levels.
And in "Not Like Us" he dances on the metaphorical grave. The drops were so well-prepared
Nadeska been a Drake Stan since the drake meek beef
U can tell they ain’t even listen to the Heart Part 6. Misquoting tf out of it 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️. And yall supposed to be Music Experts!?! Cmon….
From the east coast and can’t stop playing K-Dot over and over and over. Never played his music like this before. Now I get why he is where he is. Love that he is so versatile and on such a high level
Kendrick for the win!!!
Drake is 🗑️
Kendrick beat Drake at his own game. Even if Family Matter was a better record the counterpunch was more effective. Kendrick knew a record was coming talking about this family and he was ready for it…..then dropped Not Like Us and exposed everything Frake doesn’t have in his repertoire…..
Drake going to Academics for the hip hop community to decipher lyrics together
Ebro and other corporate shills createdd the culture where major labels and pop stars could dictate the culture and make Drake what he is. If Ebro supported independent Hip-Hop at Hot 97 and supported conscious Hip-Hop someone as shallow as Drake and someone with ghostwriters like Drake couldn't be considered a goat. But Ebro doesn't care about the culture, just numbers and money and now the whole culture cares more about money than skill or jewels of wisdom.
Hopefully Kendrick winning will help get rap back on track, he is a conscious MC as well as a battle MC who elevates the culture with his lyrics and jewels aplenty. Drake is commercial product with a team of ghostwriters, manufactured abs, nose, butt – just fake aa fu<k to be honest. He NEVER represented the culture. The culture just accepted him.
Kendrick dropped knowledge as well as insults and was schooling the man's family. Kendrick is a bonafide lyrical genius but he's also a conscious MC. Drake's hit factory team of shallow superficial pop song writers could not compete with an actual artist and genius.
Ebro talking about "one of these artists cares more" is embarassing to listen to cos Ebro and mainstream radio has not supported conscious Hip-Hop or pro black music or black people for 30 years. Ebro IS the establishment that *doesn't do so*.
I don’t see Drake recovering from this. Fans will never view him the same!
23:20 I’m really glad he said that. I think a lot of people have been discussing who makes better music and more bops, but my issue with Drake is the fact that he is a culture vulture with no education on the black experience. Most people just don’t see it because he also happens to be mixed.
It’s really important to realize that even though rap has gone down this line of commercialism and party beats, it used to be more than that and that’s personally why I got into it.
25:50 I’m really clapping right now. I’m so glad this is a well thought out and educated conversation.
Everyone made great points here.
D.R.A.K.E = Don’t Rap About Kendrick Ever
I'm so glad the streets beat the industry this time. I was sad when ghostwriters beat Meek Mill but that time the ghostwriters made better songs than Meek did.
There were 3 protest songs of 2020 Lil Baby The Bigger Picture, Kendrick Lamar Alright, and Pop Smoke Dior. Not just Kendrick Lamar’s Alright.
