  1. Being near a blank is like being a void. You don't know what's happening but all you know is that your soul is being smothered and your INSTINCTUAL response is to either get rid of it or get away from it.
A normal person staring at a Culexus will find the tallest bridge or building, and jump off of it. They're that unpleasant to be around.

The assassins can match up to a Space Marine.

The snipers may not seem impressive but they are trained to take you out from long-ass distances and can take you out while you're moving at Mach 9.

  2. As to master cheif, he has a higher kill count (against much weaker enemies) but he's far inferior to Space Marines except maybe a bit faster at running/jumping. In ever other way, he's inferior. Space Marines would consider him a mortal or an ancient prototype to themselves before the Emperor improved upon the program.

Master Cheif is kinda written as the best of the best, 40k doesn’t do that… minus Cato Sicarius in the books and Malum Caedo in the game boltgun. Cato Sicarius even got singled out when Bricky stated the Ultramarines being a bit too powerful in the lore. Typically 40k fans don't like OP regular Space Marines and are want Legions besides more Ultramarines as a result. Capitan/ lieutenant Titus kinda being an exception because we waited over a decade for this game and the previous company went out of business so we thought this was impossible until the reveal trailer a few years back. So for him theres tons of hype.

  3. The 2nd and 11th Legions were originally just references to the lost Legions of Rome. Fans kinda took over the aspect that they could be therefore used to create their own chapters/legion. Games Workshop then saw that as printing money, so had it put into the lore The Emperor and his bff Malcadore erased records of them from history, even erasing memories of them from the other Primarchs. Leaving them with just happy memories of them and thinking it was some other tragedy but an overwhelming desire to never talk about them. Others in the lore can see where their statues where and wonder like you wtf they did to get erased from history. There's whole videos on YouTube and hour plus long each speculating what happened to them based on random things said about them .

  4. a spartan is no match for a space marine. i dont know where your chat got that information. you cannot compare the two. they're too far apart. lore accurate master chief could pick up a truck and throw it at you. a space marine could throw the machine that made the truck at you. "Julin E.M farias" is STRAIGHT CAPPIN!!! he knows nothing about space marines or anything about 40k. if he did he'd know you cannot COMPARE THE TWO. master chief was what? 6-7ft tall? space marines are over 8ft and some like vulkan are damn near 10ft tall. Master chief is on par with standard "Astra militarum" commander or even the kreig. not even close to a space marine in physicality or function.

  5. 40:35 Oh no no no. That wasn't the problem.

The Legion was filled with healthy, well-adjusted individuals when it started, save their Primarch who is all kinds of messed up.

Then when they started recruiting from the planet Konrad Kurze found himself on, literally all they could find were killers, rpists, torturers and alike.

And every legion takes in kid recruits. In a child age 4-12 the implantation success averages something like 30% with half of those kids dying before training is finished. In a grown adult the implantation success rate is 1 in 500 if you're lucky.

So about Nocturne, everyone there is either a criminal or the slave of a criminal. Konrad Kurze brought peace to the planet by killing every criminal he could hunt down and displaying their bodies publicly.
Within a year everyone enforced a curfew just as a habit to not be outside when "The Night Haunter" was out.

Then Konrad took public control and now live-streamed his murders to every household on the planet on the remote operated TVs he had installed there.

When he then left to go serve the Emperor and said "Give me recruits" they basically just emptied the prisons into his ship.

His legion was fine. Then it was infested by these Pre-Pubescent Predators.

  6. Welcome to the grimdark universe! Love seeing new people 40k universe. Semi-professional Miniature painter here, happy to have you here and looking forward to see your journey. There is something in this universe for everyone even if you don't like Space Marines. If you take the plunge consider me part of your community for the foreseeable future. For the record, I play Space Wolves and World Eaters in 40k, both have immense flavor in their own way despite being a-holes. May the emperor watch over you on this journey. 🐺👍
