  1. I've noticed the longer I play, the worse the performance is. I don't know if it's a memory leak or what. I don't even have the crazy large base or am far from my base. Hopefully all that gets sorted out with more updates. It is fun but I am kind of running out of stuff to do.

  2. So people said they’d been round the whole planet? The developers said the map was self generating and when pushed for an answer as to how big the map is, they said “well Mars is 21,000km in circumference”. You were planning to go 25km. I got to about 18km then headed back. That’s less than a thousandth the distance. I seriously doubt anyone has actually travelled round the whole map in this game and if they said they had, they are likely mistaken.

  3. Nothing like knowing you can make plenty of beets and potatoes! Hey, I still like it, even if it is more and more of the same, more or less. I would like there to be more story to this.

  4. if youve unlocked the nightvision you can use that to travel at night, doesnt take battery power (or if it does its a tiny amount of your suit battery) I found a bunch of good seeds north of my starting base. including corn, pumpkin, apple tree, poplar, spruce, oxygen trees, lettuce, cabbage, tomato, pepper and beet all no more than 5500 meters from my starting base to the north. So far the maps look identical but not sure if dropped items are the same or random

  5. 24:45 anything highlighted that you can't pick up, you can grind down for parts. apparently on a non-destroyed base, if you spend the time grind down all the highlighted stuff first then grind down the base buildings themselves, you get more stuff than just grinding an entire building and it's contents.

  6. My first expedition for seeds was eastward and seeds were at 10k+. I lost some seeds while adding some rooms to my base and started another expedition to the north. The seeds started spawning at like 25k+.

  7. I find my game gets graphics laggy, and when it does, controlling with the mouse gets really hard. It's also possible that the more you explore, the larger the game map gets, and the slower the game is able to process fps. It makes no sense to me either

  8. There are no real "poles" in the game. Once you finish exploring to the edge if the named areas of the map. the rest is randomly generated amd goes on as long as it takes for the game to crash. I recommend only exploring so much in one direction, because the more random map you generate, the longer your saves and loads are, etc. I went sooo far ti the West on my main game, and I regret it. If you stay within +- 10000 Meters of the x:0 z:0 , the game probably runs better

  9. Oh and anyone has told you they circumnavigated the planet, they're lieing. The Devs have made it clear how the map works. If you go far enough in any direction, the game starts randomly generating the map infinitely (or fimitely until the gsme crashes anyways)

  10. I'd really think twice sbout going too far in one direction. Take it from someone who has exolored way too much – my game saves take about 10 to 15 minutes to load, I kid you not. Also my saves take about 2 minutes each to save. Imagine having to sleep 3 times to get through a night with a 2 minute auto save after each. You've been warned 🙂

  11. I want to petition the devs to say that mars is about 21-25 M around rather than KM. We can use our imagination amd accept that scaling. We already pretend a minute is an hour, don't we? Otherwise, how are these fanous landing sites that are spread all around the planet all only a few thousand meters from where you start? It makes no sense anyways. Just have us pretend that 1 meter = 1 KM

  12. There are 12 types of seeds that I know of, because I have them all. Most rare seeds I have found were all found within a short period of time and a few bases of each other. It's like they spawn in some sort of a swarm effect

  13. Sometimes these storms cause damage to parts of your base. It's not usually too major though. You may want to pull out your blowtorch and walk around your base every now and again. Actually, I think there is a tab that lets you see damage on Radar

  14. By the way, if you keep going further South, eventually the ice will end for a bit, and you'll find dry sand dunes, then more ice, etc. There are no poles, just random regions of ice

  15. You can find Uranium anywhere, even in rocks on the surface. You also get a ton in Mount Olympus (Olympus Mons). P.S. you can actually pick up the alien rocks, eh? I believe if you double click or hold down left control and right click

  16. I have found that after you go a certain distance in one direction, everything becomes random, but only the usual boring stuff. I recommend planning an excursion of thousands of meters in all 4 directions. Once of those directions will lead you to a swarm of rare seeds, keep the faith. If you get a drop of rare seeds, however, don't stop. Hit all the bases in that area. You might get as many as all 10 rare types of seeds in a short time and a small hamdful of bases near each other. That's how it seems to work. Then as soon as you stop seeing rare seeds in a few bases in a row, you won't see another pack of rare seeds for ages. It's strange how they do it, but that is how I've gotten my rare seeds in the 2 games I've been deep into. My current main game on medium I am getting close to 720 Sols, and I have all 12 seed types. I'v gotten the rare 10 types all together in 2 short spawns however, and I've never seen a rare pack of seeds at any other point

  17. The game is optimized already because I can play the game on an i5 3570, some of the frame rate issues if you experience it with other games your GPU might not be kicking into higher gear. For GPU check and see if the fan is moving, if not replace graphics card, or if you don't have any money take the card out and power it down for a while this step I wouldn't do with newer cards as it will violate warity, practice with an older card you don't care about, you also need some type of thermal past and with GPU it needs to be spread in a layer on the chip, because its one big dye. Removed and cleaned the fan and it works. However, easier to just replace it.
