  13. Dreamcon is a one of a kind experience. This year’s Dreamcon was my first and I didn’t know what to expect. I was shocked, relieved, and happy as hell to see so many beautiful Black people. The cosplays, the vibe, the talent: Dreamcon gave me inspiration and motivation to go harder for myself and our community. Seeing so many Black people gathered in one place was incomparable. I was worried that so many people would trigger my social anxiety, but I felt at home. I’m beyond grateful that I was able to go to Dreamcon 2023. I met new people and got to see all the beautiful shades of Black – we really are creative asf! I’m excited for Dreamcon 2024 and all the Dreamcons to follow!!!

  19. Aye man, without sounding too simp-ish and going overboard, I can honestly say that Dreamcon and that whole weekend in Austin was really a breath of fresh air and a rejuvenating experience.

    It was my first Dreamcon and I honestly didn’t know what to expect at first, only that I’ve heard good things about it and it was a BLACK event. By the end of everything, I realized I had been going around life hiding large parts of myself trying to escape stigmas and the reason why I felt so good after was because I didn’t have to do that at the Con. The only mask I had to put on was a cosplay mask and I was actually appreciated for it. I could enjoy the things I loved out loud and just be myself. I am grown as hell and this was one of the first times I had this feeling, and that meant so much.

    I didn’t even know much about RDC and the majority of the streamers beforehand honestly but now they gang and I wanna support everything they do. I WILL be at the con next year and I WILL get a pic with Mark if it’s the last thing I do 😤

I’m proud of each and everyone one of the creators that participated and made the event possible and memorable for the ppl that came out , im a little jealous that .. OK BIG MAD !😂 .. that I ddnt get to pull up this year but I’m gonna make it a priority nxt year for sure ! .. we gotta treat DreamCon like Mardi Gras in New Orleans now ! 🎉

  39. I've been trying to go since year 1 but had to cut down spending while my wife went back to school, but she's graduating this winter so I WILL be at dreamcon24 idc what it takes!
