Crews are working on cleaning up a crash after an 18-wheeler flew off a U.S. 75 overpass in Allen, Texas, on Tuesday afternoon. Police say the driver of the semi-truck died in the crash. The crash happened near the intersection of 75 and Stacy Road. Dash camera video from a witness shows the semi-truck going off the overpass, overturning onto the road and then bursting into flames.

Ok according to the reports: The man was a 71 year old truck driver…
Very Sad
I live in Dallas and we have the worst drivers in all the known universe.
Look how cheap and weak they build those cabs…it just disappeared…
So how did it happen?
Did the driver live?
Reminds me of "Terminator 2 Judgment Day" with Arnold Schwarzenegger πΆ
PrayersππΎ going out to the trucker driver and anyone else that may have been in that horrible crash. π
Apparently a blue mustang brake checked him. If so, they need to track him down and arrest him for manslaughter. So sad. Truckers are such a crucial part of economy, but they get a short end of the stick all the time.
Can't park there
That freeway barrier needs to be higher. it looks like a standard 32 inch barrier which is way too short.

A bad semi wreck is almost always fatal. The whole cab of the truck is fiberglass!
When it absolutely positively has to be there overnight!
Poor guy was 71 and should've retired years ago. Truck driving is definitely the most dangerous job out there.
Oh no this breaks my heart! This poor driver ! My thoughts and prayers are with his family!
No sound?
Optimus Prime Failed.
Wow
From the looks of things someone cut him off, he overcorrected while his load was "top heavy"
I suspect driver drowsiness, induced by fatigue. Feel for the family.
Painful to watch as a Trucker myself I fear burning alive. I pray the driver didn't feel anything . Rest Brother, Your journey here is Completed. Home is calling you back.
God's will.

Do you realize that is the driver flying through the air only to land on the pavement and then have a fiery hulk of metal land atop him? You can make out his arms as he is mid-air.
Every time I see an accident like this it hurts. I left a job and industry I loved. I dont think anyone except professional drivers understand the dangers of heavy hauling.
Lol
So funny
I hope the driver is okay and has a speedy recovery.

RIP to a man doing a thankless job
Prayers for the trucker's family. People need to respect the truckers because if it weren't for them you'd be faced with greater shortages. Bless the truckers for what they do!!
I would presume the driver was being overworked, crashes like that don't just happen for no reason.
I saw it as it happened! Allen, TX specifically

Glad nobody was coming out from under that overpass to where the semi would have landed on them, crushing them.
I've watched this video about 10 times and you can see the truck driver being tossed out the window. It's sad to watch. Praying for the families.
So sad for the driver but it is a miracle no one at the bottom of the bridge was hit by the falling semi. It looks like a busy time of day there.
Happened in my hometown… so sad
ALLEN POLICE DEPARTMENT??
Shouldnβt this be turned over to the STATE POLICE BEING TRUCKS ARE UNDER THE STATES JURISDICTION?
The Wife seems very tough, she should be looking for an Attorney RIGHT NOW before they take the easy way out and BLAME THE TRUCK DRIVER .
Jesus Jesus Jesus my heart hurts watching this. Praying for all involved
Oh no. Prayers for this family
Texas roads, Lord have mercy on us.
It's funny how you guys say "thoughts and prayers for the family" but most won't actually pray and will most likely forget about this next month.
But despite all that I do feel bad for the family of this former truck driver and for the man himself, no one should ever die on the job.
π
I'm guessing maybe it jackknifed and skidded over the railing, but the fire started so fast that I wonder if a rear tractor passenger side tire fire triggered this chain of events. Rough…stay safe!
im not an accident specialist but i willing to bet somebody was in their phone either the truck driver or the other driver texas is bad with that phone and driving there should be a law.. everyone can't walk and chew gum ijs rip driver
