  1. Fat shaming is bullshit, Tom, if you don't fit then you don't fit. Hell, they're gonna start weighing airplane passengers before flights, otherwise the damn thing won't take off lol….. While there is no need for the barriers, maybe they're trying to put 3 wide per row.

  2. Another theory: the seats were modified to increase capacity…? I haven't been on the attraction, but assume that barriers limited the space. In my experience, cast members seem to be encouraged to maximize space on popular rides. My adult family of 4 was squeezed into one bench on Runaway Railway and were almost squeezed into a single bench for Na'vi River Journey. The latter did not work out.

  3. It's insane. If the company is doing so well as they are, then why raise prices. They are obviously making plenty of money, so it is pure greed that is raising prices.

  4. Tom. You are a racist. I am a proud LGBLT (Large, Gay, BLT) community member and find your comments against heavy people insulting. Disney needs to take a stand against people like you and Ron Desantis!

  5. I don’t think the ride change in ratatouille it’s just because people are heavy, without dividers if you have somebody with little kids you can get three people in one of those rows which you can’t do with the divider there. I think it’s partially because people are larger and I think it’s partially because they want to get more people on the ride faster. I would bet they’re not meeting their goals for how quickly they load people. I think they’re loading slow and they’re trying to improve that and improve the wait with that ride.

  6. I have a feeling this is more about greed than plus size tushes being given more room. Without INDIVIDUAL seating you can pack MORE people into a row! So in fact they aren’t doing it to give people more room but to give them LESS room! Either way Disney wins!!!

  7. I would argue that there is plenty of reason for the international parks to make their ride vehicles more accessible, both to disabled guests or guests who need mobility assistance and for guests of size. Both groups of guests would then be able to better access and enjoy the international parks. There is no legitimate reason to keep barriers in place for access. More people being able to enjoy the parks is a good thing!

  8. If you travel extensively like my wife and I do, you really realize how heavy Americans have gotten in comparison, especially after COVID and the whole body positivity movement. This is seriously affecting our longevity and quality of life here

  9. Semi-dwarf wheat, which causes an insulin spike, is the reason for the weight gain in people around the world but most especially in our country where wheat products are so prevalent in the diet. Just thought I'd mention that because people are confused as to why everyone is getting so heavy and they're eating the same way their parents and grandparents did. You can research the studies done on the semi-dwarf wheat which has been available since the '70s but most prevalent from the '80s forward compared to the old strains of wheat.

  10. They had the "partitions" because they want to be able to squeeze as many people as possible into the ride. So they think that those tiny partitions is separation enough to be sitting should to shoulder with a stranger. I wish that we would get away from cramming as many people as possible in a ride. It should be one "party", regardless of it is one, two, or three people, per row.

  11. I'm a new viewer, and I love this show. The host just has a fun demeanor, is clearly a fan, but delivers the news in a professional (but no overly tight) way. It's lovely! Thank you so much for your hard work

  12. You mean 'fatter'? In Japan there were few tourists from europeen decent. The ones from the usa were easy recognisable: fat. And one female was clothed bad and indecent. Possible in Walmart, but not in Japan, where the females wear decent, expensive-looking, not even 'a la mode' as far as I know (dutch so not best clothed), but very sophisticated sweaters and coats (because it was a bit cold). I even have the faint idea they do specifically wear these great clothes to show their good taste.

  13. In my opinion, Tokyo-Disney will survive while the other parcs might collapse due to mismanagement and stupid zero-covid rules. The japanese people are the most pleasant guests, eager to buy, eager to have a pleasant day, eager to please others.
