Aztec Empire came to an end at the hands of Conquistador Hernan Cortes but not before Emperor Montezuma, and his people, were able to sneak their mass amounts of wealth north to seven separate locations in what is now the American Southwest. For five centuries, thousands have searched for Montezuma’s treasure and the 7 Cities of Gold. The treasure is believed to be made up of an enormous quantity of gold bars, silver, precious stones, jewelry, and other Aztec artifacts. Historians estimate the value of all of these items to be worth over $3 billion dollars.

Lost Gold of the Aztecs follows three families determined to break the 500-year-old curse of Emperor Montezuma and find the treasure. The series will intercut each family’s epic adventure as they search for the 7 Cities of Gold on three different properties in three different states – the Dillmans in Utah, the Hoaglands in Nevada, and the Villescases in New Mexico. Who will be the first to find the Aztec Gold?

  2. Why are you looking for gold can you answer how the Incas Aztecs Mayans Incas died after Spaniards came brought their diseases into a clean environment. There's no gold it's just bad TV this is a disappointment and Discovery channel. Let's see if the Mexican cartel let these self proclaim explorers pull gold out of Mexico what would be the great outcome of that

  5. Let me guess, as soon as they get a diver in the water for 30 minutes, they’ll find a rock that is shaped weird and then say “let’s pack it in for the day” and say “we’ve done everything we can and we may have found something very important.” But it’s actually not and it’s just rocks. And they they are no closer to anything but wasting more money

  7. I just looked up if any Aztec gold has been found and a construction worker found a bar of gold that was plundered by Cortez. Mexico city was built on top of the Aztec city. So the gold is probably under the streets of mexico
