A September 24, 2022 Freudian slip?… or "The cat let out of the bag?
"Germany’s Pearl Harbor Moment" – Feb.27, 2022 article by George Calhoun – Forbes :
"German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Sunday (Feb 27) opened his extraordinary speech to the German Bundestag with this sentence: The 24th of February, 2022, marked a change in the history of our continent.” Who does not hear the echo of Franklin Roosevelt’s famous first sentence, in his speech to Congress after the attack on Pearl Harbor: “Yesterday, December 7, 1941— a date which will live in infamy…”
Following Scholz’s Sunday speech (and we’ll get to the substance in a minute), Friedrich Merz, the German opposition leader, head of the CDU/CSU alliance, also spoke, in support of the government almost unconditionally. Merz began with the same grave sense of marking the moment:
“This 24th September, 2022, is going to be a day which we will remember and we’re going to say about this day in the future that I remember where I was when I got the news of the war in Ukraine.”
So, was this final sentence a "Freudian slip" or the cat being let out of the bag? … we'll find out very shortly! After all, September 24th is only one day shy of the Feast of Trumpets [starting on the eve of September 25th].

I didn't seem to find much information on a Google search, but was just reading Daniel 8:14 (2300 days that the temple would be trampled – said to be done by Antiochus, and the Maccabees withstood that, so we ended up with Hannukah), aside from that, I was just wondering "duality" of prophecy, and if the tribulation started (10/18/22), the day after Shemini Atzaret the tribulation temple would be completed and in use by 5/25/2023 which happens to be the beginning of Shavuot. It just seemed to fit in, that's all.
1 Corinthians 6:9-11
9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God
Leaving out the last verse is taking away from scripture.

The Truth about the Eternal Security of the Believer :
1 John 3:9 [as well as 1 John 3:7] tells us that all those born of God will not characteristically and habitually live in sin. This certainly does not hold true for any person who has not been born of God. The clear implication contained in 1 John 3:6 is that those who are not born of God do not know [and have never known] Him, they have never been implanted with [i.e. – regenerated by] God's seed … the seed of Him … the "sperma autou."
"no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him." [1 John 3:6(b) – ESV].
"anyone [pas ho] sinning [hamartanōn] not [ouch] has seen [heōraken] him [auton] nor [oude] has he known [egnōken] him [auoton]." [1 John 3:6(b) – Greek Interlinear].
The vital truth here, as it concerns the eternal security of the believer, is that only two groups of people are in view here … [1] those who are born of God, and [2] those who are not born of God. All those counted among the first group will abide in God until the end of their earthly journeys [1 John 3:9]. It simply does not logically follow that any among the second group were at one time members of the first group – but then proceed to abandon their faith [thereby once again being counted among the second group] … it is a logical fallacy.
If a person has genuinely been regenerated by the Holy Spirit, they will not live [characteristically] according to the flesh. They have been given eternal life and received, as a result of their new birth, an eternal implantation of that life by that life-giving seed of God (God the Holy Spirit) as clearly revealed in the following scripture :
1 John 3:9, "Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God."
Whoever has been born of God "cannot sin" – That is, habitually, deliberately, characteristically, and finally. – Doddridge. "Who habitually and avowedly sinneth."
The germ or seed of the Holy Spirit implanted in the soul abides there as a constant, vital principle, so that he who is born of God cannot and will not habitually become a sinner. It will so continue to live there that he will not fall away and perish. The idea is clearly that the germ or principle of piety so permanently abides in the soul, that he who is renewed will never become again characteristically a sinner.
God doesn't simply require holiness; He promises it to all of His sons and daughters :
[The following truths should not be viewed as an "either/or", but rather "both/and."]
(1) We must persevere by faith, in the faith, to enter heaven (2 Tim.2:12; Heb.3:14;10:26). Not to persevere is to perish.
(2) God will preserve us in our faith even though at times we may doubt and wander from the path of righteousness. But He will always remain true to his promise by ensuring that none of His children will fall so far as to finally and forever fail. God will preserve us, we will in fact persevere, we will endure in the faith.(1 Peter 1:3-6; Phil.1:6; John 6:37-40; 2 Tim.1:12; and many more).
A Critical Concept to Embrace – harmonizing the balance of scriptural truth :
So, what are we to do with [the above] dual truth statements? Simply accept both of them! Why would any person decide to reject either one of these clear-cut, scriptural truth claims? I believe it is a huge mistake to deny either of these statements; it is the equivalent of setting scripture against scripture, rather than reconciling them. Again, this scenario should not be viewed as an "either/or", but rather "both/and."
Bottom Line :
It is not those who hold to the doctrine of the preservation of the saints who are unwilling to accept both truths, it is those who believe that believe a that a blood-bought, born again believer cannot have assurance of their heavenly inheritance (i.e.- those who believe that some [or even one] of the elect will ultimately forfeit their salvation and be cast into the Lake of Fire).
So, in the end, we discover that what is really the most important question in any person's life is not, " Will I actually forfeit [lose] my salvation?", but instead, "Have I actually been born-gain?, that is, am I actually a new creation in Christ?" [John 3:3-8; Titus 3:5-7; 2 Corinthians 5:17].
Rejoice, those of you who have truly had the experience of new birth… you have received a life that can never become extinct! All those who have been elected by the Father, redeemed by the Son, and regenerated by the Holy Spirit will finally and certainly be brought that final phase of their salvation [i.e. – glorification] on the last day through the sovereign grace of God. All those who are chosen, called, and regenerated by God are kept by God.
Jude 1:1-2,"Jude, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, To those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ:"
1 Thessalonians 5:23-24," Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it."
