One of the funnest concerts I ever went to. 20,000 people all dancing with big o'l smiles on their faces.
They have a 60's aesthetic, but the band started in the mid-70's. One hit wonders? My dudes… "Rock Lobster", "Roam", "Private Idaho", "Summer of Love"… just to name a few of their big hits outside of "Love Shack." Not to mention songs that some of them have collaborated on with other bands. Y'all need to start broadening your B-52's horizons.

Yeah, both B52s and REM were based out of Athens. B52s were about 10 years before REM tho.
"Rock Lobster" is also a great song by these guys. 😀 So is "Roam", "Private Idaho", and "There's a Moon in the Sky (Called the Moon)" Also, from what I recall, the "Tin Roof Rusted" part, was just said randomly, as filler. I remember seeing an interview with the band, somewhere, and they were asked what it meant, and she said it didn't mean anything, she just randomly said it.

I know this dates me, but we had a cool teacher in primary school (maybe grade 4?), whose gym classes sometimes consisted of nothing more than dancing around to the B-52s' Rock Lobster and Time Warp (RHPS soundtrack).

(I hadn't heard that explanation before, always heard it as just a honky-tonk type place to go out & jam. We actually had a similar place down here in middle GA.
