Harbaugh took the job because the Chargers have solid talent and every important position. They're set with a QB, set at the skilled defensive positions, have an acceptable receiving corp, and still can add in free agency & draft.
Raiders added legit gm, have a good defense, and above average receiving corp, and are rumored to be ready to hire Kingsbury to run a Kyler Murray Sr (aka Russel Wilson) centric non timing offense.
Kansas City is in a position to split games with everyone in the division except the Broncos since the Broncos will be predictably inconsistent with breaking in a new QB, O line, and pass rush.
Even though Russ hate is all the rage, he's still the only QB in the NFL with 2 head to head wins against Patrick Mahommes. And when you look at their head to head stats in the 4 games they've played, Wilson has the better head to head stats. Thinking any other QB the Broncos trot out next year is going to give better results is a pipe dream. So with Russ the Broncos managed a split with both the Chargers Nand Chiefs in the division. Good luck duplicating that sans Russ in 2024. When you start the year penciling 6 losses, it's beyond difficult to chart a path to a successful season.

Best possible hire for the Chargers and worst for the Broncos. Harbaugh has been successful in every stop he's been at. He has a franchise QB and good pieces there. Chargers could easily go worst to first in the division next year. I really hope we can find a QB otherwise we might be competing for last place with the Raiders next season.
i mean the chargers are a meme but you have to respect harbaugh. guy can turn around a mess and make a team competitive. like said he brings a defined culture and his teams are gritty.
the contract numbers arent out there but based on when he was wanting from the broncos the spanos family had to have paid big money to get him. we all know how cheap the spanos family is.
chargers are the one team in this division the broncos have consistently been able to beat at least once year and in fact have a winning record against since the superbowl win. now? 😂

Harbaugh is better to me because he can work with different type of QB's and Payton already prove he just WANTS to work with one type of QB
