  1. I really don't understand the point of "selling" the Ball Guy. Like, it's a trash banner, for a not-so-good kinda meme unit.
    Who the hell is gonna spend their gems on it except for whales and content creators? Just give it for free to all the players with a meme battle or a meme event and call it a day, it's not like he is a game breaking unit or anything like that lol

  2. Is bede really tanky though? Like I feel like without any defense buffs, healing or anything like that. Like I know his base bulk is good but without any ways to sustain or reduce damage I feel like that isnt gonna matter in harder stages also he isnt super fast and if you want to really get the value you are gonna have to use someone else the help. Dont get me wrong I think he is a great unit but one of the best supports in the game seems a bit beyond him

  3. I just came back to the game because of seeing pokemon day and getting all these free gems. I put them all into Moltraes and didn't get a single one…. I think it's such bullshit that you have to spend thousands of dollars into this game to be able to get a character. I think you should be able to get one guarantee and for the duplicates have those % chances. It also really pisses me off that I'm getting the same duplicate sync pairs every god dam time. Give me a character I do not currently possess. After you have collected all of them start sending the dups. I just want all my money i spent on this game back before they introduced the stamina bs. You can't just change a game that much after players already put so much time and money into this shit. I hope one of the developers see this and makes the changes ive said to make this game actually fun again. Safe to say I'm uninstalling it once again…..

  4. Of course Articuno is good, but nobody has the gems to all 3, and most people will choose hop and marnie over him cause nowadays we want supports who are great and set terrain/zones/weather

  5. I got lucky and got Marnie on my first try today, I’m now choosing who to focus on, kinda really want Bede because his suit reminds me of some personal stuff but ehhhh….

  6. I also think C.Hop and C.Bede are pretty interchangeable in 2nd place, but I don't think any of those C.Hop complaints are legitimate. If Fighting damage dealers aren't that impressive number-wise, then it means they appreciate the Zone to pick up the slack that much more (and having more Fighting Zone setters means you can now have up to two Fighting teams boosted by Zone in LG).

    Postwick Perseverance means he does not discriminate btwn phys and spec drops (it's only a problem if another unit needs SpD debuffs while randomly having DC2 as a LS, b/c Postwick Perseverance only activates off C.Hop's own attacks). For phys units who provide extra Def debuffs like D.Gloria… they don't use the SpD debuffs anyway.

    The only big Fighting attackers that take advantage of SpD debuffs are C.Hop himself (Smarty Pants), Solgaleo, and Wally. SC Diantha hits on the phys side w/ both her Secret Sword and Sync, so unless you're meming w/ Aura Sphere dps (the Staggering is pretty nice though), she doesn't touch the spec side (she only leeches SpD to buff her Brute Wits).

    In any case, maybe the real argument for C.Bede>C.Hop is that debuffs have common mitigation Passives (so they cater more toward those debuff-based multipliers like Relentless/ITI on Marshall/Brawly/D.Gloria/etc. than general damage), while Up Next effects don't (so they actually are more general). The other arguments I'm hearing sound kinda superficial.

  7. I agree about Hop, Marnie and Bede rankings. Hop looks great on paper but activating all of those multipliers in a timely manner will take some time. Meanwhile Marnie goes Brrr with 1 turn setup and doesn't require enemies stats to be lowered. And Bede is the greatest offensive support we've had.

  8. I was confused on the Keldeo Diantha & Hop thing? He has his passive where the defense he lowers also lowers the special def when he lowers def? So wouldn't they work together or am i missing something

  9. That Hop argument makes no sense at all.

    Just because SC Diantha can't benefits from his master passive (while 95% of the other fighting type cry for it) and he is bad? That's just dumb.

    Even so, Hop's Fighting Zone on command alone already make him the better partner of SC Diantha, Def & SpDef shred is just icing on top.

    Not to mention he also has the highest base sync multiplier and is the strongest Sync Nuker in the game without rebuff.

    A Dojo Gloria + Aura Cynthia, two most praised support combined, MAX team Crit buff AND ridiculous tech Sync damage is not good enough? I don't know what is man.

    Bede is a good support. Don't get me wrong.

    But he is just way too overkill in most cases.

    New sync pairs are usually pretty self sufficient, take 3.5 anniversary MF for example. NONE of them need Atk/SpAtk/Crit from Bede. And most sync pair DON'T need both as well.

    There are A LOT of options to choose when most sync pair only need a minimum buffs from the support.

    Now, Bede passive needs sync to refresh his MP. So after first sync, his remaining option is to (1) Do some passable-ish support damage? (2) Use his TM for the physical & Special move up (again, overkill) by 1. He has no zone/weather/rebuff, It's just not a lot tbh.

    But still, the potential to max Atk/SpAtk/Def/SpDef is still something older sync pairs would enjoy.

    And 2 PSMU + Supereffective Up on first EX support sync can be very funny for B move nuker like Ash, CMarnie, SS Lysandre.

    If I can only pick one of these 2 guys, I would definitely go for Hop no question. Bede is GOOD, but he is easily skippable of the three.

  10. This convinced me to say pass on Hop and go for Bede instead. I like Hop probably more than most people but I really don't care if I miss out on him, especially when I have Aura Cynthia and SC Diantha already and SS Elesa synergizes with them so much already. I already have plans to pull on Anniversary May and that hasn't changed, but Bede is one I'm summoning for now because I'll have enough gems to pity both of them in the event I get shafted. Unless I get insanely lucky and pull them early like I did on Champion Marnie (second multi by the way so I'm due to get shafted) I'll pull on Hop for the sole reason that he's a masterfair.

  11. They seriously NEED to give Lorelei an expansion like Glacia I can’t believe they went lazy with the LAST old elite unit I was at least expecting her to be solid freezer cause we definitely don’t have it even if not that reliable.

  12. I agree with putting Hop last – not that he’s a bad unit in any way (he’s the one I’m prioritising pulling in fact, since I don’t have SC Diantha. SC Guzma or Dojo Gloria)

    Aside from the issues of not having other Fighting-types on his level to support, he’s a Jack-of-all-trades. Ironically it’s the Lorelei problem but to a much higher level; he’s great at every part of what he does, but doesn’t do any of it to the transcendental levels that Bede and Marnie achieve.

    But I will give Hop one thing – you keep forgetting that he DOES debuff SpDef too! His passive means that any of his Def drops impact SpDef as well, so his support for SC Diantha is unaffected

  13. As a unit hop is a step above the other 2 champion (all of them are broken)
    1) the game would progress at some point. Fighting type unit arent the greatest pool of unit as dps BUT what if they gonna release a crazy fighting type dps unit?
    2) Having a zone/terrain/weather unit is much valuable considering this kinda unit are very limited and this is why the moltres legendary battle is one of the hardest in the game.
    An example: they release a broken unit that do damage or support the team, look when they release SS Morty, SS Brendan or SS Steven and after that SST Red or even Ash, Champion Calem, the new jasmine at some point they have to powercreep the best unit for selling the unit or waste the gems of the players, mainly damage dealer and now even supports. We dont have a second unit that give that exactly zone, we have only 1 bug zone, 1 flying zone, 1 ghost zone (2 if you count SC Lily but i dont count that because is RNG…).
    3) works well with both physical and special, he still reduce special defenses with his passive what a tech unit suppose to do.
    4) if you looking lucas, lucas has zero cost of his "time roar" after using a trainer move or dragon zone etc… this thing hop had every time he hits with his fighting move despite his terrible speed. Immagine having a unit that hit every time for a 0 gauge move and deal solid damage. Only the first hit you using the gauges otherwise you can use a unit with "rock smash" and you hit with hop with zero gauges… if you think the opponent survive after you reduce every time a stats, be realistic is very unlikely look some of your video, you cant even keep alive your opponent 😂.

    The downside about hop as you mention it, are the fighting unit that he supports arent the best at the moment because are mainly nuker but keep in mind now they can finally synch with fighting zone and not wasting the synch on Aura cynthia considering dps fighting units arent the best as said previously, at least not at the level of the best type in the game like water, fire or elettric (even psychic is very powerful dont get me wrong but its kinda fall a bit) and now also dark with Marnie

    At the end, both 3 masterfair are broken BUT isnt fair to say the unit isnt the best because other units are above avarage, to me seems like an excuses because this unit is one of the best zone setter or even the best zone setter in the game.

  14. I think Bede really shines in gauntlet when you need to carry bad damage dealers. But he hasn't very much to offer to top tier units compared with the field setters or top supports like SS Brendan, SS Dawn, H Jasmine, C Red, etc
