Nintendo just released wave 4 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass, and it’s by far the best wave yet! Every single track in this wave is absolutely phenomenal, which honestly made ranking them a little bit more difficult than usual! I’m really looking forward to the last two waves now that we’ve seen this, as each wave seems to just be getting better and better!

Wave 4 has amazing tracks! I've been to Amsterdam in real life so I really enjoy Amsterdam Drift! Bangkok is pretty good, but might be kinda hard to drive. DS Mario Circuit is basic and boring, but okay overall. Riverside Park is pretty cool and the piranha plants blowing mushrooms is a cool feature! The Singapore track is incredible, you can drive through the infinity pool in Marina Bay Sands which is amazing! GCN Waluigi Stadium has soo much detail like the mud on the track, I also like that they added a anti-gravity part of the track at the end of it! Yoshi's Island is soooooo good, the quality, the music and everything else is just amazing! Wii DK Snowboard Cross (DK Summit) looks beautiful and I like that the double cut still exists, only kinda problem with this track is the half pipes at the end can be a little jank. Overall every track from Wave 4 is amazing and that's a Nintendo W!
the fire spitting Piranha Plants aren't new to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, they were always there in the original DS track
10:04 do you mean it's a new mechanic in the Mario Kart series or a new mechanic for Ptooies? Because their main mechanic has always been to blow air at things

Nintendo killed it with the retros this wave! I know people wanted Airship fortress, but I’m happy Nintendo went for a more healthy and underrated option, I feel like the track fits right in and the gameplay feels great!

For the GBA Riverside Park part, there actually IS a Bass Guitar used for the bassline, but the Baritone gives it that extra *oomph*. Just wanted to point that out as a music nerd, great video!

My dad is conveniently in Amsterdam at the time of this comment for his work. Plus, I am going to Singapore in a few months to meet up with some of my family who permanently moved there for a job as well. So wave 4 I not only predicted mostly right, but also was very convenient to my real life events, XD!!!

The top 4 are all in the S tier for me but Yoshi’s Island and Singapore Speedway are just more fun for me. Bangkok is in A and the rest I’d say are in the B tier. Overall I really enjoyed this wave.

I honestly think that DK Summit was better in Wii. The halfpipes are just janky in 8DX

The reason why I like Mario circuit more than Yoshies island is because I can never get bored playing it and it does look amazing to me
My least favorite track in this wave is DS Mario circuit. It’s just another boring and generic circuit but OooOOoo there’s a forest. Not only to mention that this track robbed us out of way better tracks like airship fortress, delfieno square, and Luigi’s mansion just to get another generic circuit track
