I purchased 37 eyeshadow palettes in 2022. I’m ranking them from worst to first. Some were bad, others forgettable, some were a complete triumph. I hope you enjoy watching me rank all 37 of these eyeshadow palettes from 2022. Let me know which palettes were your faves of the year, and which ones were bad in the comment section.

Since I got my LE Vega palette I can't use anything else. 😘
The video I was waiting for ! Watching while having some breakfast after a yoga class 😊
Just starting the video but I have to say…this lipstick and top are an AMAZING combo! The colors are just gorgeous on you!
Your sweater is stealing the show….vibrant and beautiful shade of purple 💜
Love this video! I committed to camp neutral this year. My favorites were the Natasha Denona Glam and the Viseart neutral mattes in the smaller version. I also dug back into my Pat McGrath 6-pans (love the cool toned one for quick beautiful looks). Like you, I prefer smaller palettes though. I think my favorite matte formula is ND. I would love to try Patrick Ta if he comes out with a slightly less warm toned palette. I might pick up the Sorcery palette once it’s back in stock. I’m encouraged that you like that blue shade (I’ve always wanted to wear blue but don’t love most tones on me.) I love New Wave on you! 💜
I just use concealer for eyeshadow primer.
(For the highly textured shadows I’ll use the NYX glitter glue and my finger to apply.)
Wayne Goss shadows do not work for me. They frustrate me because they’re so hard pressed.
Viseart is sooo good!!
With my low buy, I stopped impulse buying eyeshadow palettes for 10 months😎. Then black friday came 😩 and I bought 8 on my wishlist like Mercury Rétrograde and Jaguar, Side By Side, Violette Étendu. But I'm getting use of some of my older ones before oppening those up. Reward system (pan then play) and the 1palette/month helped me better think through my purchases and what I am not wearing. Also I'm putting money aside for a LE big order (Myth, Sorcery, Vega, Zora, Émilie, Titania, Viola) next year 🤩. Have a good day. Bye
LOVE the Nabla Side by Side and the Rose Quartz, I use them non stop for work too. Nabla makes beautiful neutrals
I love eyeshadow and my favorite right now is Wings in the ABH Nouveau palette.
I think like 1% of makeup wearers use an eyeshadow primer. If an eyeshadow needs a primer to work, forget about it!!
For my 53 year old lids, I find that the best primers are smoothing ones instead of gripping ones. They make the shadows so much easier to blend that I don’t have to work at it. My favorite is the fenty one. After using the mattes, i do one swipe of the pat mcgrath stick or nyx glitter glue (if what i use is extra flaky) for the shimmers. When i look at myself 12 hours later, everything looks freshly applied. Have a happy 2023 🎉
Thanks for sharing the pros and cons of these shadows! If you ever contemplate trying a different shadow primer, MAC paint pot in “painterly” works for me. I have loose skin on my lids and the paint pot under any shadow helps smooth them out a bit! 😊🎉
I just got Natacha Denona, Pat McGrath and Lisa Eldridge Eyeshadows this year 😁 Don't ask me how many palettes I have in my collection… Let's just say I have ALL of PMG and almost all of ND (at this point just from this 2 it must be around 100 palettes 🙈) plus the ABH's, the Viseart's, the Huda's, etc 😬 Think I have Eyeshadows, lippies and complexion products for 10 lifetimes 😎 Funny enough yesterday I used Vega and today Sorcery 😅 think tomorrow gonna use Myth 🤷🏼♀️ yep still can't stop using them, maybe when my StarWars quints arrive I stop for a few days 😂😂😂
I love Zendo, especially that tealish quad 😅 and the petit 4 with the blue did you try using the blue on the lower lashline as a pop of colour? I sometimes do that for work… More neutral colours on the lids and a vibrant color on the lower lashline 😁 I know I'm a rebel, but a happy one 🙈🤷🏼♀️🤣🤣🤣
I want to try the Flower Beauty palettes now!!!
Love this video and your look is fab! I know it would be a monster project, but would you ever have time to do something akin to “I can only keep 10 palettes” video? Broken down anyway that makes sense for you – 10 favs overall, the 10 that get the most use, one from top fave brands – but I’d love to know what you Thu k you reach for the very most in all you have. You’re my shade and formula preference twin, and that could be so helpful. But, again, a massive project
Thank you for this wonderful review.
I discovered your videos quite recently and already watched several of them (mostly the newer ones) till the end!!! Watching this video, I couldn't help guessing which palettes will be in your top 3…..and I guessed #1 and #2 correctly (I didn't get #3 right)…………I think that I guessed right 1 & 2 is because I personally like them the most (in the same order). Or perhaps sensing from your previous videos how excited your were talking about them 🙂
Happy New Year to you and your family!
Ohh you’re making me want to use my rose quartz it’s such a beautiful palette
I just wore New Wave yesterday too!!
My hubby gifted the cinnabar and myth for Xmas…I’m so scared to use them lol myth is out of my comfort zone…..but I trust you on it being more forgiving than it looks, thanks for helping there!
Okay, I’d love your advice on this: I’m trying to stock up/build a capsule eyeshadow palette “wardrobe”, was thinking: neutral palette, a small palette with nice greens and blues and purples (but I have LE Myth so I’m good there)
So what do you think of Tarte eyeshadow palettes? Or Natasha Denona? Could I use those brands to build the remainder of the shadow capsule?
I have dark brown eyes…but would want eyeshadows to make my eyes pop.
😍that sweater! Such a beautiful vibrant purple. I also need New Wave on my lips stat, such a unique shade… sigh I didn't buy any eyeshadows this year
shockinglybut Rose Quartz has been hanging in my cart for ages, and I'm now def. buying it as an Christmas/New Years gift to myself. The one palette I couldn't stop using for awhile this year was the BH Cosmetics Lost in LA palette. A pastel palette for a person like me who doesn't look good in pastels. Real game changer. Bummed BH was bought by Revolution as I won't get that kind of palette again…Loved the mini-reviews, you got me interested in that Patrick Ta palette. I'm a moth to a flame for shimmery rose/rose golds and that one looks stunning.
Such fun watching you rank the palettes! After your endorsement, I hope Lisa Eldridge restocks Vega and Sorcery.
While I’ve found Viseart has too much fallout, I’m currently enjoying Chantecaille eyeshadows.
