Marion Hastings, having spent years in Europe completing her education, is abruptly summoned back to her family’s Australian ranch, Rangle River Station, by a letter from Dick Drake, her father’s foreman. Accompanied by her chaperon, Aunt Abbie, Marion encounters Flight-Lieutenant Reginald Mannister during a layover in Singapore. Captivated by Marion, Reginald changes his plans and heads to Australia, accepting an invitation to stay at Rangle River Station. Upon arrival, Marion discovers her home suffering from a severe drought, compounded by a neighboring rancher’s sabotage of their water supply. As tensions rise and danger looms, Reginald’s aerial reconnaissance reveals the treachery, leading to a dramatic and perilous confrontation with the unleashed waters.
