Faith Spoonmore, the aunt of 16-year-old Ralph Yarl, posted an emotional video to TikTok outlining her nephew’s ordeal. Yarl was shot by an elderly white man on April 13 when he went to the wrong address in an attempt to pick up his younger siblings in a Kansas City neighborhood.

‘Please keep all the prayers coming. We truly need it not just for recovery but for forgiveness,’ Spoonmore wrote in a caption accompanying the clip, which has 757k+ views as of April 18. ‘While my nephew is a great kid, an intelligent kid, a Black boy is left with so many broken pieces.’

Since Spoonmore posted the video, an 84-year-old suspect has been arrested for Yarl’s shooting and charged with first-degree assault. A GoFundMe set up by Spoonmore for her nephew has raised more than $2.8M.

  2. She’s already compromised just thinking about how much money Crump told her she might get. This entire story is being inflated to drive hatred & racism. Crump and the democrat state controlled main stream media, like this account, are propagandizing & deceiving the public on the real facts of this case.

  15. She is not telling the entire truth. The man did not open the door he shot through the door. He also was going to his brother's house and one of the neighbors said he pounded loudly on the door and they were concerned since the elderly man never had visitors to house that late. Another report I read did state he told him to leave and not come back round there. This is a possibility an 85 yr old man with poor eyesight was startled by a tall man pounding on his door late at night and it's also possible the boy didn't leave the front door after being asked. The boy is said to have accidently went to the wrong house therefore there was no premeditation on his part, there is nothing to suggest the man wanted the boy dead because of his skin color. They only racial scenario that works with this is the fact that an 85 yr old was startled awake at night by a black male at his front door, and he got frightened because 8% of the population commit 57% of all crimes. He protected himself ,being elderly and alone it's absurd to think he acted for any other reason than he felt threatened in his own house . There are a lot of inconsistency in the news reports ,most say he was picking up his siblings ,but family says he was going to his brothers house ,strange he doesn't know where his own brother lives, strange that any 16 yrs old would have left their phone at home especially if they didn't know where they were going . I'm not saying the boy was doing anything wrong I'm just saying it's a sad incident that very possibly was just that. No racism,just a scared old man and a lost teenager one looking for a family member house one protecting himself and his home .

  20. This is so sad. Such a nice young man, Too much hate in the world because someone is different. The world would be boring if we were all alike, one skin color. Like flowers in a garden a variety of colors is beautiful, not just one. I am so glad your nephew is alive and I hope he will be able to recover without any lasting disabilities. I am white and some of my best friends are black, I am one of JWs where out of all nations, we get along and love one another. My heart is saddened to see this young man suffer. I pray for a speedy complete recovery. Glad you shared his story.

  22. Everybody thinks we lie or exaggerate when we say we are behind enemy lines…but we are. ONLY an enemy would shoot a young man in the head and then shoot again. These scattered 12 tribes of Israel have felt the perpetual hate of Edom for far too long. However, time is up 😅…it’s all falling down. 🙌🏽

  28. A young boy knocks on the wrong door looking for his siblings and is shot twice… America has lost it's mind!!! I hope Ralph Yarl makes a full recovery and he continues to be the incredibly talented young musician he is. His poor family 💔
