Rail strikes could end as RMT agrees deal with train operator

The RMT has confirmed it has reached a deal with train operators that could bring their long-running dispute to an end.

Meanwhile, Sophy Ridge also asks Mick Lynch, general secretary of the RMT union, why he and his union will be attending the pro-Palestine march on Armistice Day on Saturday.

He says the union “will be very respectful” and says they have members serving in the British military in the Mediterranean Sea off Israel and Gaza.

He also says the union will be taking part in memorials across the country this weekend.

  1. Tory muppets are giving these supposedly private companies subsides from the public purse. It's not the only private company these corrupt tories susidise. The private sector is getting bailed out by taxpayers while all their profits are getting paid to their shareholders. How dare this tory government subsidise these companies. This practise must change immediately. They are wasting our taxes to prop up these private companies profits. How dare they use our hard earned money this way. We have working people in this country working for a pittance, the same workers who do not get a fair wage rise, while these companies reap the profits of their labour. We need an election to get these thieving tories out as they are the biggest problem to this situation continuing.
