The Raiders have reportedly granted Derek Carr permission to speak with other teams interested in trading for him, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The interested team must also agree to compensate the Raiders. This is the same arrangement the Houston Texans offered quarterback Deshaun Watson when they were looking to shop him last offseason.

With his trade clause, Carr walks and the Raiders get nothing. Other than Rogers, Carr is the #1 available and teams are in need including the Raiders. Steve Smith sr said that this move will hurt the Raiders more than Carr. Bad owners get bad results.

If any team gave us a #9 .. #11 .. #13 for Carr … we'd probably have to throw in a 3rd.
The raiders aren't doing anything until our defense can do better than bottom 10. So, it doesn't matter what qb we have, we're not going to win many games without our defense getting better.
Derek Carr doesn't care about the optics. He will allow them to cut him before he is traded.
I was ready for a change at QB once a Raider always a Raider! But damn if we don't get Rodgers then we're not upgrading at the QB position period. I would absolutely be on board with moving up in the draft and grab the best QB in this draft or go for Caleb Williams next year but that would require a 2-15 3-14 record minimum
Car is going to say no to any trade that the Raiders come to him with. He is not going to do anything to help the Raiders and weaken his new team. Duh!! Derek Carr has a huge ego… he may not "care" about the money from a financial point of view, but you can be absolutely sure that he cares a huge amount about how it reflects on whether he's perceived as a top 10 QB or not. That's also the same reason why he would want to be traded – "great" QBs are not cut – teams give up 1st round picks for "great" QBs, and that's what Carr thinks he is.
