Rabies-Infected Fox Attacks Woman

A rabid fox attacked a woman outside of her New York home. Sherri Russo was in her front yard when a fox started to viciously attack her. As she tried to break free, the animal bit her legs and scratched her arms. Her neighbor eventually came to the rescue and stopped the fox from attacking the woman. The fox was later caught and tested positive for rabies. Russo was treated immediately and is showing no signs that she contracted rabies.

  2. No lie, a fox approached me in this same fashion earlier today just at dusk. I had my eyes on it once I figured out what was going on, and despite shooing it away with my hands and making noises it kept creeping up to me. I was shooting hoops by myself and didn’t want to throw the basketball that was in my hands at it for some reason. I started to back away from the fox, but it continued to come forward and next thing I spun around quick and bolted. It chased after me for a good 50 yards, or at least I’m pretty sure it was 😅 I wasn’t spending too much time looking back to see where it was. But I mad a quick stop to look back two times and I swear it was on my tail, not running crazy fast though (like me lol I can sprint pretty good 😅). But I lost my glasses, basketball, tye dye adidas hat … and didn’t dare to go back and get them. Tomorrow they’ll be there still 😁 be careful out there!!!
