R.I.P. David Lynch | Death of a Legendary Filmmaker

Legendary filmmaker David Lynch has sadly passed away. This video is a personal reflection on the influence of Lynch’s art in a filmmaking capacity, with a strong focus on Twin Peaks, and some of his other films, including Eraserhead and The Elephant Man. Thank you for all of the magical memories, both wonderful and strange. Rest in Peace, David Lynch. You will be dearly missed.

This episode was written, narrated, and produced by Geoffrey Ciani (aka – Rummy).

  1. I absolutely cannot believe how exactly you worded the exact same experience as me. Right down to the the first viewing of the Elephant Man. At 9-10, I felt exactly the same as you. Man, Thankyou for saying the tribute words that I couldn’t say. As soon as I woke yesterday, it was the first news I heard. I cried a deep hard cry as I learned that I had to live in a world without David.

I felt absolutely everything that you so beautifully extolled in the reverence required.

    Thankyou brother xx❤

  2. Hello, dear old YT friend (we don't know each other; I wouldn't presume. But I feel like Lynch fans are some kind of . . . maybe family is a better word. Anyway . . . ) I've been watching your channel since the first eps of The Return. When I heard about DL the other day, I thought about you and wondered how you were doing. We needed David in those difficult times back when the Return first came out (and we had just lost Bowie ffs). We need him now. I'm just grateful to have the art he left us. You created a wonderful community here, and I hope we see some more Lynch on your channel soon. Take care—

  3. Beautiful tribute. I teared up when you were talking about the return, it was a magical experience and helped me get through my late best friends suicide. Blue skies and golden sunshine forever, David

  4. I was at work when I heard he passed. Had to stop when I heard he passed. I cried. Other than Chris Farley, I was sad when they died. As you said about a connection to someone you don’t personally know, I felt a sadness like if I did know him. His work and vision will always be with me. Rest well David. You made me feel less alone in this world.

  6. A pilgrimage of many David Lynch fans and friends will take place in and around North Bend and Snoqualmie for the Real Twin Peaks Weekend in Late February 2025. See you in the trees.
The fans are amazing, weird, artistic, scary and fun. We will keep his sprit alive.

  7. The feeling of true sadness your voice conveys in speaking of his passing, while simultaneously feeling true excitement speaking on the love of his work I feel is a perfect and fitting tribute to Mr. Lynch.

FYI, I looked forward to your Twin Peaks: The Return episode reviews almost just as much as the episode themselves. Thank you.
