Quran on Earth's First Life: a Moses Story



The Quran tells mankind to travel about Earth and see how life started, which is what Paleontologists do. Perhaps that’s what Moses did when he went on one of his travels.

The story of Moses and Al Khidr in the Quran, may God’s peace be upon them, provides a lesson that links marine biological evolution with social responsibility. In the first part of the story, Moses sought the meeting place, the two bodies of water, which is a metaphor for marine life development, including prokaryotic cells, eukaryotic cells, multi-cellular organisms, fish, and amphibians. In the second part of the story, he goes on a journey with Al Khidr, a metaphor for mankind’s social responsibility.
