Great live feed. Would like to understand more the financial aspects (costs) revenue generation to keep your farm profitable. How is inflation impacting your strategy for your business?
Cale – loved the live feed. Although I’m not a big fan of the live feed you have made it cool to watch and entertaining. That being said I came to your channel through Laura’s. I am a Patreon supporter of hers and I have to say that you and your wife deserve a lot of credit for that girl – her and Grant are both outstanding human beings and great role models for today’s youth. I do have one question, when you were talking about one of your kids taking over the farm you didn’t mention Laura, would she be able to step into your shoes? I know it is quite demanding but she seems capable given more time and mileage. Just my opinion. 🤷🏻♂️ Also I am a videographer if you were serious about someone taking over the editing for you. We would just have to figure out a point of contact. I’ll look to see if you have a business email and shoot you my contact info.
Try potatoe tower's. Take 4×4 and and barn wood and soil layers as they grow up. In fall you can start taking the bottom layers off to harvest. Can get them 5' tall and no weeding!!
I appreciate so much the fact that you'd love to see the Carlson farm continue as a family farm but you also want your kids and their kids to do whatever they do best… whether farming or not. Family first!
I understand about family getting leftovers! The flour mill takes most of my time, then my wife, parents, brother, and pets get the leftovers! The mill I work in gets wheat from the northern plains, and sends the flour to bakeries and starch / alcohol manufacturers. My late great uncle owned a dairy farm in North Central Nebraska. Thank you for sharing. Don’t work too hard!
You, Laura and Grant have taught me so much on farming. See not too old to learn even at 67. While I’ll sadly never farm you’ve taught me a whole new respect for farmers. The amount of knowledge, the amount of work and the amount of jack of all trades needed to be successful has totally amazed my wife and I. Thank you Linda and Mel. Tennessee (California Escapees).

Thanks for the Update. The rain is amazing! I’m out here trucking and moving freight and doing work too! Ha
How far away does Laura live away from your farm
Sorry I missed the stream. Cale, have any of you guys considered planting wheat to roll with the shortages worldwide?
audio is off a bit
It is not “unfortunate” that your family gets more attention than the viewers. That’s how it should be. Faith, Farm, Family.

How has the fertilizer shortage affected ya'all? Any plans of diversifying your crops with wheat? Best wishes to your dad.

How many acres of corn, seed corn & soybeans have you planted? How many acres to go.
Assume one of your pivots in background

Does Laura have her own farm or is she in with you
My grandfather from the ‘40s into the ‘60s was the second largest potato grower in the north east. He still kept a 1/4 acre garden
There are several corporate dairy farms in upstate New York. Most hog production is corporate run.

Live with Kale reminds me of back in elementary school and we played the game of distract the teacher to avoid work…
Hi from Pennsylvania!
