The odds of making it through a whole year without having your 1, 2, or 3 WR get injured aren't great. So, a smart team has more than 3 WRs that they could comfortably put out on the field. On the Eagles depth chart, there isn't anyone i'm trusting after Brown and Smith, let alone after Quez. Now he can shut up and put in the work to be #3 or 1st guy off the bench. Either way he can stfu.
