Who the hell is paying for all this woke crap? Who????????
It will be a world record if that show lasts longer than Batwoman!
I would also add the following:
Clothes and hairstyles do not correspond at all to the end of the 1970s. The environment is also don't look like Russia; Russian fields don't look like that at all. And why did Soviet soldiers arrive in an American jeep?
Thank you! So good to watch and listen. I thought they did make a lot of improvements; the opening certainly hearkens back to the classic QL opening. I totally agree about the messaging; that just felt out-of-place and weird. I guess that there was no present-day for the "big reveal" at the end that QL is shut down — note: if that's the case, how can random office guy interact with Ben? Also, in the first season, they said that Ziggy (the machine or the program; I don't recall which) controlled the leaps… so, why is Ben leaping? I'm cautiously optimistic that they will do better this season.
Oh god it's back?
I have to wonder about the production timing. Was this written and filmed before the writers' and actors' strikes? How rushed is their production schedule?
Not surprisingly 😊
Excellent review as always, Price. I do have a few comments to add… First, the writing was clearly among the worst of this series. And that's truly saying something. As soon as the one soldier mentioned that he'd also lost "someone" I knew immediately that it would be a man. They just HAVE to get as much "woke" into it as possible. Next – they WAY to easily solve all of the situations. First they simply jump down on Russian Soldiers and take them out? The pressure plate bomb would have been far more difficult and they were practically jumping on and off of it. Infiltrating a Russian SAM site super easily because all the Russians are conveniently underground and none of them are guarding it is simply too much to believe. And then – The commander decides that she must ride in the car-bomb with Ben? Stupidest move ever. This may or may not be the worst writing ever – but if it's not the worst, it's close! I'm shocked that the series actually got a second season – but I'm glad it did, because I enjoy tearing it apart with you!!! Keep up the good work. 🙂
Why the heck doesn't Hollywood create NEW ideas or adapt novels and STAY TRUE to the source material?
Nah! It's cheaper to bank on nostalgia. 2:32
Ugh, this is painful. I had no idea they were destroying this franchise. Today's writers don't have the IQ necessary to write time travel. I would liked to see a series made from the idea of the Journeymen Project games but there's no way I'd trust today's writers to do it.
I'm curious about the budget of the show (and not much else about the show, lol) since Disney seems to be spending extraordinary amount of money their Star Wars and Marvel shows but producing fewer episodes, though equally bad. Is that blond woman (Mikaela?) a new regular?
Something about a bisexual Asian man and his non-binary transgender hologram tells me that storytelling was not a priority…
I was very hopeful when they had the orginal voice do the narration and the title card paid homage to the orginal Title font. But when the characters started making fun of the dead pilot I knew it was the same too cool for school writing. And once again they have the cute girl as the boss of the military team in the 1970s smh. Also the characters didn't sound 70s about anything smh. The writing is still shoddy, but I can see that they're trying for instance Ben Songs Ra Ra Speech was pretty good. Great video once again Price. I'm glad your still covering the show.
This is one of the things I was talking about with the last season. Yeah i agree that they felt filler but going back to present but with more substance to them. I dont mind that.
Good to have this back. It's a real shame that this even exists but it did give us Price of Reason reviews so every dark cloud has its silver lining lol. Bakula was so wise to turn it down.
Of course it still sucks. Man the longer this incarnation lasts the less and less it feels like Quantum Leap and more like a generic movie of the week LOL! So Ben leaps into 1978? Really? Sure didn't look like 1978? No music heard of played from the 70s in the episode really? And from the season finale we are still left in a cliffhanger in regards to Addision. Oh Boy! 🤔🙄🤨🙆
Still never went back after the third episode of season 1. How is it that with everything that's been delayed and pushed back coz of the writers and actors strikes, how did this get to come out? Is it coz there's no actual writers or actors invovled?
Opps. I didnt realize. Welcome back. Here we go again for another year.
They are not ignorant of what they are doing. They are nudging people toward Marxist/globalist ways of thinking. All superficial, race-based, Marxist propaganda. It is happening with all "modern" shows these days and it is completely intentional.
I loved how these soldiers were shot down by a missle in hostile territory and half the episode was them standing around talking about their feelings. I'm sure trained soldiers in open terrain and only hostile forces around would all just stand around talking forever lol.
