still love it and I have 100-dipped at this point…for real! Its no surprise it runs on switch well though….Its like a 30 year old game at this point (or close to) I ran it on my 486 DX4 100 quite well 28 years back….Yes I know its been enhanced 🙂 I wish they had included RTX though. I now have to versions on my desktop….which do i play damnit???!?!

I bought the game for the switch. I had received the update for the PC because I already had Quake 2 but I still played through the main Q2 campaign on the switch and had tons of fun. It's just a great experience. Regardless of which port you play, this is a game that deserves your time. This review doesn't mention the Call of the Machine expansion, it's a new one created by MachineGames and it's worth your time. id has given love for the switching with all the ports, all of the games are worth your time and money

Great game. But the use of a weapon wheel is just ridiculous in multiplayer. Why can’t you switch and rotate through guns like all other shooters out there? Poor choice

Quake II was my fave game to test my PC’s graphics in the 90s. Such a solid experience!
I don’t like modern FPSs, boomer shooters are better for me. I stopped playing new FPSs after the initial Halo and Half Life era.
The lighting in Quake II was always awesome BTW, groundbreaking for its time.

We had so many fun games in the living-room on the other Quake.
