Qantas’ first Airbus A220 has rolled off the production line in France, with a total of 137 seats onboard.
The Airbus A220 doesn’t have its signature red tail, instead boasting its Aboriginal artwork.
It is the first of 29 aircraft ordered by the national carrier as it phases out old aircraft in the existing 717 fleet in its regional network.
The new planes fly twice as far, while also bringing a significant 25 per cent reduction in fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
The plane will slowly make its way to Australia via America and the Pacific next week, before entering service in January.

Who cares. Qantas sold out their brand and the country.
They Named it Albo. 😂
I wonder how many times it will be Delayed or Cancelled in it's 1st year or will it ever fly
I'm sure they have Toto's stamp of approval…
I wouldn’t get in the thing
They probably paid for it using Airbus Albos frequent flyer points.
Airbus abo there to welcome it
Will these be replacing the 30 year old Boeing 717's ?
I thought Qantas was near bankruptcy a couple of years ago. How can the afford 27 new airplanes?
Dot painting invented in the 1970's by a white fella, C'mon stop taking the piss about it FFS !! It diminishes true Aboriginal culture !!
Great, I’ve cashed out my Qantas frequent flyer points now and won’t touch them again, ever. Liars, thieves, corrupt, soulless.
