Putin forced into ‘weak position’ by threat of Storm Shadow | Frontline

“Imagine if they could use the whole lot, against Russian military targets… that would be closer to a knockout blow that would help the front lines.”

British Storm Shadow could put “insurmountable” pressure on Putin after the successful attack on the Black Sea Fleet headquarters, says former British Army officer and specialist management consultant Justin Crump.

  1. You people just want uk to join the war! Are you people ok!! Russia if it feels threatened they will destroy us and the whole Europe..why isn't ever mentioned to negotiate and stop the murders on both sides!

  2. Strange how The Times seems to only present a single consistent view on the Ukrainian conflict, almost like the guests are curated deliberately. Every single guest basically demands more support for Ukraine and sees no risk of escalation. I'd say this channel is likely a propaganda piece that I can only assume is run by Western a intelligence organisation

  3. I’m sorry, but it is a near certainty that a second trump presidency will be disastrous for Ukraine. Trump and Vance have both started ramping up their openly critical rhetoric towards Ukraine, whilst simultaneously praising Putin and talking about Ukraine giving sovereign territory to Russia. He’s grooming his cult to be pro-Russian and anti Ukrainian. In spite of trump being a pathological liar, he tells the truth about his nefarious intentions sometimes. And it’s often the most destructive things like Muslim bans and putting children in cages that he follows through on. We should believe that he is going to side with Putin and try to force Ukraine to surrender

  4. So, the West and USA is still afraid of Putin after all? They should know that after Ukraine, Putin with enough confidence, will retake former soviet European satellite states and Alaska which Ruzzzzians claimed belongs to them….

  5. You are talking like this is war for Ukraine alone and nobody cause it. You have all NATO countries sending weapons and attacking Russia using Ukraine but you are hear talking like nobody else is involved in this war. They are using everything against Russia and are still failing in Ukraine .Yet you think Russia should sit a watch it land been using by NATO puppies in Ukraine

  6. I wonder what plans Ukrainian leadership has in case Trump wins the US election? There has to be a contingency plan if Trump behaves as an ally of Putin. Ukraine can rely on other European countries. They are also at risk from Putin's plan to reconstitute the Russian Empire. The criticism of the Biden administration is unfair. It benefits Ukraine for Harris to be elected president. Biden has had to balance military support for Ukraine without giving Trump and the Republicans ammunition to use 9n the campaign trail. (pardon my little joke)

  7. The narrative here is complete and utter BS. The independent narrative outside this MI6 controlled Russophobic misinformation, speaks differently. Continue smoking your own vapour, I'm outta here!

  8. Top commentary. I'll be looking for Justin Crump's analysis as the military conflict goes on.
(I detected the influence of his Sandhurst class notes informing his strategic comments.)

  9. Forced into a weak situation? I don’t see that at all. UK is in a weak situation. It wants to be a big player and shoot into Russia but Russian has told them that they will be retaliated against. UK is in no position to threaten anyone . Russia in the other hand is . UK will cease to be if Russia put its mind to it.

  10. They’re never going to use their nukes. Half of them probably are duds anyway as they’re poorly maintained or have suffered from corruption. The only thing they understand is a bloody nose, so that’s what Ukraine with the west’s fulsome support should give them.

  11. This was the number 1 best analysis of the war I have seen. He is the first person to mention the fact that we telegraph EVERYTHING months in advance which is moronic. Had we not talked about the long-range strikes and just done it, Putin would not be able to make these red lines.

  13. The UK needs to pay its debts. It needs to plan to do this promptly, and take into account that Ukraine is lost. It will never service loans and any assets sold to foreign companies will never be realised.

  15. I despise the US government for their cowardly behaviour in withholding the OK for seriously damaging weapons to finish off the Russians in this war. Typically isolationist behaviour. They've never had a bomb dropped on them, don't understand European geography and still believe Putin and his threat of nuclear attack. I am ashamed of America. Slow to enter both WWI and WWII. This neither in nor out that Ukraine has to endure from the US is like dealing with school children. A bunch of cowards. See how it would behave if a few hundred drones were dropped on Washington. Cowardly bunch. Ukraine needs to ignore them. They know the war there, America doesn't. You're going to lose your position to China if you don't man up.
