A psyker is a being who exhibits the ability to use psychic powers. Many races have these individuals, whereas other races are innately non-psychic and never produce psykers, like the C’tan and Necrons, which despise psykers so far as to engineer warriors that actively seek out and destroy them. Some races, like the Eldar, are inherently psychic.

Psychic powers are most commonly drawn from the Warp, but Orks draw power from their collective Waaagh!.

Psychic powers can take many forms, from predicting enemy movements to projecting bolts of devastating psychic energy. Some can even aid troops towards more devastating attacks.

  1. My theory is that since WAAAGH! energy and the ork psychic field was made by the Old Ones during the War in Heaven, it was made when it was the Sea of Souls. When the Warp was broken during the war and turned into Chaos, the WAAGH broke too. What the orks have become and how their power works is a result of their software getting fragged eons ago and the hardware is just trying it's best.

  3. If I were a psyker I would just constantly pray/meditate and be like "Emperor? EEEEEEEEEEEmperor? Can u hear me? The Imperium has become a hyper religious xenophobic shit hole…can u tell'em t' stop?"

  4. Last word on the Gyilty Gear Strive talk: Happy Chaos was turned into a different character. I don't know if Leffen, or any of his old top-level players, still use him.

Now, people are complaining about Sol! Again! And all is right with the world.

  5. What if Slaanesh causing the age of strife and forcibly activating the Psyker gene caused the gene to activate wrong? Because while the Shamans during the early era if man weren't powerful at first, but had greater control without being triggered unnaturally?

  6. Yeah what is with the weird order in timeline. Slaanesh birth cleared up the warp storms allowing the Emperor to begin the great crusade. Now the birth may have increased rates of Psykers being born.

  7. The birth of Slaanesh is near the end of the Age of Strife; it "blew away" the warp storms that had locked down Earth, and allowed the Emperor to launch the great crusade. Slaanesh's "incubation" is what made the Age of Strife works, however.

Without something that can navigate for you through the warp, you're limited to slow and short-range "skipping" jumps like the Tau. As for how Dark Age humanity navigated through the warp, firstly Navigators are stated to be a Dark Age creation, and the Leagues of Votann have varieties of Ironkin who can navigate through the warp.

It's also worth mentioning that before the Age of Strife, it was a lot easier to travel through the warp. The fact it became steadily more difficult is part of the reason why the Age of Strife happened. Personal speculation, but it would be logical that there was a kind of precursor to the Votann's machine-based navigation, and as that became less reliable as the warp got more screwy, Dark Age humanity ended up looking for improvements (hence creating Navigators etc)
