  1. As we say in Glasgow, diddies, i would just leave them, close up and go home for the night. No publicity except for the fact they will be hungry and thirsty. Oh just call your rich daddy to come get you in his big posh car.

  2. Often thought we should bring back medieval pillories on the village common (or empty plinth in Trafalgar Square in this case). Then these anti-social idiots once removed from their picture frame could spend some time standing bent over with head and hands immobilised while the public pelts them with rotten veg & fruit.

  3. The only positive I can see here is that they glued themselves to the frame, not the actual artwork. Although this still massively devalues the art (original frames add a lot of value) it's not as bad as destroying it; super glue would be incredibly harmful to oil paint I imagine.
They're prats though, there are better ways to protest without turning the people you need to convince against your cause.

  4. Why were there not security guards waiting to deal with these anarchists. In Russia πŸ‡·πŸ‡Ί terrorists like this are sent to prison for retraining into responsible members of society

  5. The solution is simple – fine each protestor 10,000 sterling, garnishing wages or seizing assets as needed, a live time ban from all museums and galleries for life world wide and a jail term wouldn't go amiss either. You want to protest go ahead but it doesn't justify vandalism and trespassing.
